I'm thinking of permanently switching to Artist because of the upgrade price of Pro. It's just not worth it to me. I am starting to have some serious problems with 5.x that I absolutely need Presonus to do something about but you can bet their first solution will be to upgrade.kxmmeron wrote: Mon Nov 21, 2022 6:33 pmLooks like the Holiday Sale has began. No savings on upgrades directly from PreSonus though. https://shop.presonus.com/Studio-One
For the record, as of just a few days ago, around half my songs will no longer play back without serious glitching, distortion and slowdown. Songs that I have been working on for months, which a week ago played perfectly well, now cough and splutter their way through. This morning I discovered a way to reset one of my songs - by switching the synth that uses the most CPU off for a few minutes, then switching it back on. That will give me another one or two runs through before it starts to play up again. But that's a project that normally only uses around 30%-40% of my available processing power, it should be able to play it back with a 16 sample buffer, yet it glitches with 128.
My first thought was that there was something else eating up CPU but Task Manager doesn't show anything. I definitely cannot have any other applications open while I am using S1 any more. Even on its own, it has become basically unusable.
