Does anybody of you ever set cubase back to its factory settings?
I found some tuts about it in the web, but they seems strange to me so I ask here.

Yes. Go to C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Steinberg and delete the Cubase 12 Elements folder there (dunno how it's called precisely).
Note that that deletes everything, Cubase's configuration, VST blacklist, and probably some other user files as well.

That worked.
It also handled the problem that I had with midi recording.
I must have made a setting that made it impossible to listen to the first midi track and record a second on while listening to the first on.
