Anyone know of any issues with plugins for sure ?

It loads, but is taking ages.

Hard to determine if this is after the last update or a plugin I added...

For me it usually takes a bit longer when a new or updated plugin is detected, but otherwise doesnt take too long. Im on win 11 with the latest v12

It takes ages , and if I kill the process, and reload, it skips through, no plugins are blacklisted, and its working fine, so not sure whats going on tbh.

If I leave it, it loads too, so im lost.

Probably a plugin that doesnt get along with the scanner. did you update any of them lately?

You are talking about Cubase 12?

If so, I have noticed the same thing on the VST3 part of scans. Task Manager even shows it as "not responding".

I had killed the process a few times at first (after upgrading to 12, from 11). I finally realized - even though it had the "not responding" message in Task Manager, it would finally complete its scan and move on to open Cubase.

This^^ I would recommend trash plugins you don't really use and see how it goes. I cleanup up my system and my Cubase DAW loads 100x faster. I had too much free rubbish plugins that I never used.
all the best

Just adding: I had a Waves plugins update, and I think maybe Soundtoys.

The VST3 scan at startup seemed to take close to 10 minutes, and then completed.

I then closed Cubase, then restarted it: VST3 scan to startup menu took 15 seconds.

Cubase 11 used to say Guitar Rig 5 had a problem, every time, and the idiotic message ‘check the plugin’ for the problem, but it took a minute, it wasn’t the problem the idiot program assumed it was.
