Diva presets continue playing with no midi present

Any help with suggestions, links to forum posts that Dx this issue, etc, welcomed!
Latest Reaper, win10 last update, Acer i7 laptop with 16G, 500 G fast ssd.
This is a constant irritant for me. How to diagnose or prevent this from happening?
I've read about midi "note off" not being recognized, sustain and release options for presets need adjusting, etc. But I guess I'm lost as my fiddling with the presets doesn't fix the problem.
Is there a definitive "fix"?
I can't use many of the presets I like due to this issue.

Example: Rhythmic presets continue to play even when the midi sequence has finished. It can last for as long as the mix. Other presets also continue the last midi note.

This happens with "continuous" or half-damper pedals only. if your "sustain" pedals are momentary (and the majority of them are). then this probably isn't the problem. And the most recent updates have fixed those issues for my setups that do use those pedals.
Which controller are you using?
Check your midi messages and contact support.
