Klavis CalTrans arrived so fitted that and been playing around with it. Really impressive and brings home just how flaky most analog modules are with tuning especially across a range because I think this is the first time I've managed to get three of my oscillators to really play chordal harmony together. It's so bloody handy having dedicated octave control over each oscillator too. The only minor pain is that it can only really handle tuning to simple sources (e.g. square or saw) and needs a continuous feed for the calibration so I can't really use it to tune up the likes of Rings and BIA.

Been fighting with the eurorack to get the logic working right.
All I’m trying to do is have a trigger fire per BPM sixteenth note when no other drum/percussion triggers are firing. So I stuck each perc trigger through a multi then from the multi into an OR module then output of the OR module into an Inverter then that inverted signal plus the 16th note trigger from Pams into an AND logic module, but it’s not doing what I wanted it to.
The idea is for a clap or other percussion module to fill in when the kick, snare and toms aren’t firing, but it’s just not happening. Thought it may be the triggers not lasting long enough so tried using sample and hold and even getting the OR output to trigger an envelope on a set voltage signal, but no luck yet.

Cleaned up my music ideas projects: consolidated, replaced synths I'm not using with synths that I do use, deleted the bad stuff.
Uninstalled 12 synths I'm not using presently.

I'm doing a final run through of my set before my gig tonight.

It's been almost 5 years since I last played out and I'm more than a bit nervous. I'm supposed to give a short presentation about the modular after my set but I don't have a plan for what I'm going to say. I'm just gonna wing it and hope I don't do anything embarrassing!

paired with a conventional clock source/divider and a logic for controlled off-beat triggers.

Perhaps, but can’t help thinking there’s a way to get what I’m after from modules I already have. As those above are related to rise/fall triggers maybe I need to try inserting Maths into the patch.

Off the top of my head, you need XOR + And logic for this task. XOR will prevent the Clap from triggering when the Kick/Snare trigs and Clap trig occur at the same time. Then run the output of the XOR and the unprocessed Clap trigger to the AND logic. That will make it so that only the Clap trig comes through, not the Kick/Snare trigs which occur when the Clap trig does not. Hope that helps.

Played my set last night. It was rather short but it went really well. I captured audio from the mixer and tried to shoot video but for some reason the camera didn't record. A few people shot video on their phones, so I'm going to try to stitch a video together from their clips.
I feel a lot better about playing my next gig. I had so much fun and I feel confident that I can repeat the performance and make it even better next time. I can't wait!

That’s what I thought I was doing, basicallyjustin3am wrote: Tue Jan 03, 2023 9:34 pm Off the top of my head, you need XOR + And logic for this task. Hmm... I've used this method quite a bit to prevent closed hihats from triggering when open hats and other cymbal sounds are triggered. I use an Intellijel Plog, which has three inputs for each channel, so I don't need the extra OR logic. Not sure what could be the problem. Do you get more or less triggers than you expect coming from the AND output?

The logic seemed okay to me when you first described it. Have you tried checking each of the logical operations to see if they're behaving independently? egWatchTheGuitar wrote: Tue Jan 03, 2023 9:47 pmThat’s what I thought I was doing, basicallyjustin3am wrote: Tue Jan 03, 2023 9:34 pm Off the top of my head, you need XOR + And logic for this task. I think when I get the chance to set the rack up again at the weekend I’ll stick it through a load of scopes to visualise what’s coming through. I have a sneaking suspicion that what’s screwing up is using an Inverter on the OR, it’s possibly not producing the result I’m expecting.
