Can’t believe no one has mentioned the obvious aliasing.

erm, 5 and I’m still waiting for a definitive answer? Whats best - Hive 2 or Hive 2 or Hornet? Has anyone done a blind test? Where’s Urs when you need him? Don’t tell me he’s updating Hive 2 to Hive 2 😳
I wonder what happens if I press this button...

i spent a short time (9 hours) today testing them back-to-back (hive 2 and hive 2), and one is definitely better, but that info is now priceless (i have 5 pages worth of victims I MEAN 'interested parties'.

The only four pages of utter nonsense on KVR, thankfully.

If you're asking about skins, I think Hannibal Lector has a few lying around.

Needless to say, I think they are both equally shit. Hive 1.2 was the sweet spot when it comes to Hives. Just talking about it makes me itchy.

Thanks for this great thread! Hive 2 apparently sounds better than Hive 2. I finally decided to buy them all :hihi: Good bye my money!

I already owned Hive2, but not Hive2. So I also just purchased a licence also. :scared:

According to its manual, Hive2 sounds more Hive2y when you purchase extra Hive2 licenses every year. So, good decision :hihi:

for me, the amazing thing is that i can, in my 'digital audio workstation', use several instances of hive 2 and/or hive 2, thus ensuring a 'full audiophonic high fidelity sound', covering all the bases (including basses). for pads, keyboards, arps, drums, synths, and flute sounds, hive 2 is perfect (altho hive 2, not so much...)

Make sure the queen bee is fine. Maybe she’s on holidays or something. Hive2 should sound close to Hive2.

Or maybe the queen bee is dead and Charles III has taken over.

But in all honesty, if I had both Hive 2s stacked side by side, I'd pick the one in the middle.

Have you heard of Reaper?

It's going to blow your mind when you start comparing hive 2 to hive 2.1

Its so much better with 0.1 extra bees
