I think an exception can be made in this case for the use of JS filters as if they were part of the synth.RuediRena wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 4:08 pmSorry to bother you again, Richard. To me it still isn't clear if we can use JS filters (or even other filters) for sound design in ReaSynth. Normally I would consider their use as a violation of rules.RichardSemper wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 3:56 pm 4. Reaper: The JSPlugins can be considered as native to the DAW
TIA for clarification.

HAPPY NEW YEAR, Everyone!
Oh, snap...that's a cool challenge. Evil, too...if I use MuLab then that would be...eh...because MUX sort of lets me do almost anything. Hmmmm...
Anyway, just today I was thinking: This year I may try to do a track for every month again, regardless the synth, regardless how much time I may have.
(Yes, it's a bold statement)
I wish all of us an excellent 2023 with plenty of great synths and music, too!

Thanks, IV!
I really want to try. Might put my average output a little below "special", haha, but it should be a fun extra consistency challenge.

Would VCV-rack count as a DAW? What about my Roland Fantom?
Cubase seems to be out of the question as elicenser keeps crashing (man am I happy I switched to Reaper). So it's either the above or Waveform free and 4OSC.
EDIT: After rereading the thread, yes, VCV rack counts as a DAW. If anyone else also missed it

Does the Renoise sampler count, and can I use it to sample plugins?
Edit: Oh shoot it doesn't. I think Studio One Artist has Mai Tai, though.

Please clarify this further Richard, does the above include any JSFX plugin (meaning we can download some third party stuff with Reapack) or just the ones that ship with the Reaper install?RichardSemper wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 3:56 pm Many questions asked - so here is a general clarification of some points:
4. Reaper: The JSPlugins can be considered as native to the DAW
Because if the first is true then we have more options than just Reasynth.

Happy new year
Reaper has Rearack
Would that work?

My opinion: any JS synth is like a built-in Reaper synth, much like a modular thing with Mulab or Bitwig, except it just happens to be code.

Seems reasonable to me. I think Its a bit like using mux in mulab, or the Grid in Bitwig Studio.phankiejankie303 wrote: Tue Jan 03, 2023 8:59 amPlease clarify this further Richard, does the above include any JSFX plugin (meaning we can download some third party stuff with Reapack) or just the ones that ship with the Reaper install?RichardSemper wrote: Mon Jan 02, 2023 3:56 pm Many questions asked - so here is a general clarification of some points:

Is Operator considered native to Ableton? I just need to check before I get to work
