Does anyone have a good tutorial on how to acheive the type of hollow / boxy kick drum sound often used in hip hop?

Try layering samples, and maybe boosting a few dB around 400 Hz (cutting it there makes a guitar feel less boxy). Hopefully somebody who knows what they're talking about can chime in!
