What is that? Is it a custom mellotron patch? Everything else before then sounds like mellotron.

The sound is similar to this one you can hear coming in at 6.39 min.
Crucial difference: this time there is much more information given on the exact sources they used and there is also good visual information given on top of that. Hence it may be interesting and relevant to you:
"Tribute to Edgar Froese and Tangerine Dream.
Instruments used : Mos-lab 3P, Mos-lab 1P, Mos-lab System 15, Philicorda, Elka rhapsody, RSF Kobol, RSF Polykobol, ARP2600, Mos-lab Kobol Expander 3, Mellotron VST, PPG wave 3.V."
Whether the sound directly originates from the vintage tape-based sampler or not: it seems that it could in any case be reconstructed from scratch using LP and formant filters as well as reverb as the most important and most obvious factors. The sound itself does not seem to depend on a specific sample. It sounds very regular and synth based to me.
--> It is IMO thus most likely that it is just a tribute to some aaah choir sound that they had included in the old melotrone.
--> You might, however, want to go through this and check all the original sounds if you REALLY want to make sure.

Any one has an idea how TD made the seagull sound (3:58-4:02 in the spirit video)?
Update (after some research): The sound is called "alien seagull" and it was Chris Franke's signature sound.
Done probably on a moog modular.
The waveform (sampled from the monolight track, 1977) looks like a ring modulated sine wave.
