Why don't the JD800 Plugin have the "Special Setup"?

What is the “Special Setup”?

It's a kind of drum mode. You can assign a sound per key. Listen to "I cant't dance" by Genesis. The Drumsounds and Fx you hear are made with the "Special setup" in JD800

It doesn't have the drum/percussion section.

Which instruments are worth purchasing? I am considering Zenology Pro but can't decide about any other..

Zenology Pro is the best one because of the amazing sound browser.

I was responding to you saying "full price", there are two "full prices". Both of which would get you your one desired plugin with play4life of course. OTOH could just buy it outright too.

The app is terrible. I click download, it queues something then gets back to download/install. I have no idea how this is supposed to work. But it downloaded 200% of Juno60 by now, so it must be good

Nah, it's Zen-Core. I'd rather just go full hog with a Jupiter-X and load the Zenology JX-8P if I wanted to go that route. Was hoping an ACB on the System-8 would hit more nuances of an actual JX-8P, plus save me from having to buy a Jupiter-X or Juno-X and sell my System-8.

Just getting back from the holidays. Opened Logic, selected Zenology, GONE. All the other Roland stuff works. Checked RCM, i'm all paid up everything is fine EXCEPT no working Zenology. MacBook Pro 2020 16" Ventura 13.1
Dammit, this sucks. Was looking forward to a fun afternoon and Roland Cloud got me again. Anyone seen Brian from Roland around?

Have you updated to the latest Roland Cloud (and Zenology)? Maybe try uninstalling and reinstalling Zenology again...

To my knowledge, Zenology isn’t compatible with Ventura yet.
That said, here’s something you could try.
Go to Logic Plug-In Manager and tick Zenology (it shouldn’t have pass true the validation process).
Quit/restart Logic.
Instantiate an instrument track as usual.
You should now see a category that would look to something like that [incompatible].
Don’t remember exactly, not at the studio atm…
Zenology should appear there.
