i can actually get hive 2 to sound exactly like hive 2, by routing it thru: 3 eqs, a saturation plugin, 2 ddls, a phase-reverse then another phase-reverse, another eq, finally followed by 12 reverbs and a 1973 MXR phase shift stompbox. at this point, it becomes impossible to determine which is which. which proves that hive 2 is, in fact, better than hive 2. #winning

1 for every 300 bees.

I think 1 for every 450 is more than ample. I’d maybe add a 2nd saturator instead. One with digital tubes should do it

ah 300 is the killer beesramseysounds wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 8:07 pm I think 1 for every 450 is more than ample. I’d maybe add a 2nd saturator instead. One with digital tubes should do it
for your less murdery bee, 450 is fine.

If you cross modulate the pendametric aliasing, you can mitigate side fumbling from the six hydrocoptic marzelvanes. This can be achieved through setting the filter into the panendermic semi-bovoid mode and observing the 'up' end of the grammeters until the normal lotus-o-delta value is obtained.fisherKing wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 7:48 pm i can actually get hive 2 to sound exactly like hive 2, by routing it thru: 3 eqs, a saturation plugin, 2 ddls, a phase-reverse then another phase-reverse, another eq, finally followed by 12 reverbs and a 1973 MXR phase shift stompbox. at this point, it becomes impossible to determine which is which. which proves that hive 2 is, in fact, better than hive 2. #winning
This clearly proves Hive2 sounds superior to Hive2. Duh.

i tried everything you suggested, and stand by my original findings; that in fact, hive2 is the better hive 2...VitaminD wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 8:18 pmIf you cross modulate the pendametric aliasing, you can mitigate side fumbling from the six hydrocoptic marzelvanes. I’m sorry, but everybody here is wrong including me. Consider this : Hive2 was released way before Hive2. They had time to polish every detail and correct the bugs, including the infamous Hive2 buzz-like audio bug (also named "the bee").

Hmmm. Did you ensure that Hive 2's wavetable reciprocation dingle arm was surmounted in the differential girdle, to reduce sinusoidal repleneration? You could experience side-fumbling otherwise which would make hive 2 sound inferior, when compared to hive 2.fisherKing wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 8:42 pmi tried everything you suggested, and stand by my original findings; that in fact, hive2 is the better hive 2...VitaminD wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 8:18 pmIf you cross modulate the pendametric aliasing, you can mitigate side fumbling from the six hydrocoptic marzelvanes. k, I just got back from the future, using the newly developed quantum string electron cloud compression/decompression instance*, and I can state that in the future, testing the HIVE 42 in demo mode, that it sounds just as amazing and CAN BE exactly identical to current HIVE 2. But, it has a lot more interesting options also.
* this process has left me with a permanent tinnitus ringing in both ears around 8,000 hz, and I don't recommend doing it.

Hah, nice try there, time-travel imposter! But we all know there is no Hive 42 in the future. Only Hive 2. And it's also well known that Hive 2 sounds better than all versions of Hive 2. Past or present.wwjd wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 11:31 pm k, I just got back from the future, using the newly developed quantum string electron cloud compression/decompression instance*, and I can state that in the future, testing the HIVE 42 in demo mode, that it sounds just as amazing and CAN BE exactly identical to current HIVE 2. But what some might not know is if you use enough frames of the Hive2 wavetables and apply the spectral interpolator, you can make the waveform smooth enough to spread on bread and eat. Smoother than Nutella.

I was in an alternate timeline multiverse, you quantum travel denier.VitaminD wrote: Fri Jan 06, 2023 11:54 pmHah, nice try there, time-travel imposter! Yes, the spectral interpolator is VERY smooth, but the musician-otcopoids in 9724 prefer the more robust Retro-Encabulator for their smoother, more flavorful audio tracks.
