What is wrong with negativity? It seems a perfectly valid reflection of the age in which we live. Or is it better to ignore the difficult things and hope they go away?

I love it because it allows me to surround myself with glorious negativity. Hopefully, if I spread it around enough, people might wake the f**k up to the fact that they can't have their perfect little life without consequences.

Yes, why ofcourse. I like ebm'ish trance. I do not like DJ Sammy'ish trance. A lot of the futurepop borrows a lot of elements from trance from earlier 90's, atleast from the kind of trance I used to listen to. One problem with all of this though is that a lot of oldschool bodü-people complain when you play new styles of ebm / synth / etc. They all say Icon Of Coil is techno

(Same goes for Hocico, Apop, vnv, later melotron etc)

"I do not go to a synth club to hear techno!!!"

Although, stuff has changed. Overlords - Sundown was techno for me back then, and now it's ebm (the tune has not changed, my perception of music has).
And a lot of the synth-kiddies nowadays arise from the trance / ravey clubs and move on to ebm / futurepop etc. Atleast here in sweden they do. Just look at how we dress.... Cyberdog clothing is a futurepoppers best friend. or something.

If you don't listen to synth nor trance, you can call it trance if you like

Love the Overlords, hate Sundown. I always assumed it was a dare. I think Icon of Coil can veer dangerously close to girly dance music at times, but when the're on their game, they totally shred! Does techno even exist anymore?

What consequences BONES? I have a perfect little life, what should I be on the lookout for? But then I'm not a middle-aged goth so maybe that's where I'm going wrong...

Obviously it depends on who you ask. And there's always that Adam Beyer kind of techno. I don't think anyone wouldn't call that techno

Or, as ishkur calls it "Swedish Techno" (under techno).
