Yeah! I can surely agree on thatSascha Franck wrote:Woah... what a whole bunch of balanced replies here again...
Can't we just agree that:
- There's wellmade music in any kind of style, regardless whether you like it or not.
- There's a lot of shite, cheap or at least fast productions only made to suit a certain place of marketshare.
All those generalizations are really stupid, no matter which music they are about.

What is wrong with negativity? It seems a perfectly valid reflection of the age in which we live. Or is it better to ignore the difficult things and hope they go away?Ackelito wrote:but please do not spread your negative thoughts to others... keep them for your self, it just creates more negativity if you spread it around you!
I love it because it allows me to surround myself with glorious negativity. Hopefully, if I spread it around enough, people might wake the f**k up to the fact that they can't have their perfect little life without consequences.ask your self, why you love/hate music?

Yes, why ofcourse. I like ebm'ish trance. I do not like DJ Sammy'ish trance. A lot of the futurepop borrows a lot of elements from trance from earlier 90's, atleast from the kind of trance I used to listen to. One problem with all of this though is that a lot of oldschool bodü-people complain when you play new styles of ebm / synth / etc. They all say Icon Of Coil is technoBONES wrote:Really!?! Is that stuff trance? Honest? In that case, I fucken love trance!stefancrs wrote:And I still think Icon Of Coil makes totally awesome trance
"I do not go to a synth club to hear techno!!!"
Although, stuff has changed. Overlords - Sundown was techno for me back then, and now it's ebm (the tune has not changed, my perception of music has).
And a lot of the synth-kiddies nowadays arise from the trance / ravey clubs and move on to ebm / futurepop etc. Atleast here in sweden they do. Just look at how we dress.... Cyberdog clothing is a futurepoppers best friend. or something.

If you're into the "synth stuff", just call it futurepop and be happy with thatoblagon wrote:wtf is that ? synth goth, EBM ? i'm curious because i like it too.BONES wrote:Really!?! If you don't listen to synth nor trance, you can call it trance if you like

Love the Overlords, hate Sundown. I always assumed it was a dare. I think Icon of Coil can veer dangerously close to girly dance music at times, but when the're on their game, they totally shred! Does techno even exist anymore?stefancrs wrote:Overlords - Sundown was techno for me back then, and now it's ebm (the tune has not changed, my perception of music has).

What consequences BONES? I have a perfect little life, what should I be on the lookout for? But then I'm not a middle-aged goth so maybe that's where I'm going wrong...BONES wrote: I love it because it allows me to surround myself with glorious negativity. Obviously it depends on who you ask. And there's always that Adam Beyer kind of techno. I don't think anyone wouldn't call that technoBONES wrote:Love the Overlords, hate Sundown. Or, as ishkur calls it "Swedish Techno" (under techno).
