Ok, many of us now that Parawave Rapid is kind of a hidden gem (Video following) but today as my 1st Video for my new YT-channel i want to check out Parawave´s Rapid as an FX-unit (insert FX direct) in my beloved Bitwig Studio.

I created a little beat with Xils STIX (my fav drum machine) and then ride through the awesome presets (many of them) of Parawave´s Rapid FX (delivered with the full version of Rapid Synth ;) ). It´s my go to synth.

Have fun. Peace out! :tu:

One tip!

When using FX presets that have "Mix" as first macro, there is no use turning the knob like a mad man :)
For these presets you first want to use the other two macros to tune the tone, and then use slow DAW automation on mix. For example during a break or buildup in your track.

Also, the Glitch presets are kind of missunderstood here. As soon as there is a macro with Glitch A-D, then this parameter acts as dial for glitch "sequence" selection. And the change should only be performed each 1-2 bar or so. If a presets uses the Glitch FX, you should always take a look at SEQ A-D. You will see that the sequences act a "time jump". So you want to run a drum loop or something in sync with the sequence length. It's buffer based time jumping, so it needs a synced playback to unfold it's true potential.

YO, thnx man, most of the things you wrote i know and ingnore them during the preset check for the pure fun of quickly skiping through, but you gave some real good insights here. Just don´t wanted to go to deep into SEQ manipulating etc. . Mayne a good point for a new vid choose 1 preset and tweak the hell out of it. peace
