I want to buy my first studio monitors. What are the main characteristics I should pay attention to? How to choose what speaker size monitors you need? Is there a difference in the location of the phase inverter?

Most importantly, how much do you want to spend?
Secondly, how big is the room and is it acoustically treated?

Mac mini m4 pro, Reaper, too many plugins, Modal Argon8, Novation Circuit Mono Station and now a lovely Waldorf Blofeld.

Studio monitors are the most important part of the studio, as is a good audio interface.

You're gonna get all kinds of answers, but I really think the Kali IN series is maybe the best for the money. The three way design just brings a lot of clarity to the mids (the most important frequency range).

JBL 305s are the best bargain on the market IMO. I owned a pair as secondary monitors and they were perfect for a small home studio. Read the reviews…

Yeah. I bought my iLoud's as a reference pair for my Genelecs, but I use them all the time now. Great for the price.MadDogE134 wrote: Tue Jan 10, 2023 2:32 am don't overlook IK's iLoud Micro Monitors https://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/i ... ro-monitor they impressed me enough to buy a pair. imo they are great for small setups or mobile rigs
