Launchpad Pro MK3 and volume fader adjustment

HI, just got myself a novation launchpad pro mk3, great piece of kit.
Im having a problem getting the volume faders to work as ive seen in the videos etc. does anybody have any experience with the LP Pro MK3?

when in session mode on the LP, If I press volume on the bottom row, it displays the the 8x8 grid of faders, I think supposed to be one for each track in ableton 11. If i adjust any of the columns to adjust volume, it only affects track 1 unless i use the arrow keys on the LP to move to grid selection in avbleton to start on track 2 or 3, then the volume adjustment affects the first track in the selection box only.
Ive updated to the latest firmware, usb driver etc. but cannot see any help on the internet.
Ive asked novation, awaiting reply but wondered if anyone else had had this problem.

Sorted, had to reset ableton by deleting the preferences.cfg file, that seemed to work for me. not sure what the problem was but all midi hell broke loose, with things happening that should not have been, like clip starting when playing notes etc, weird but all seems ok now.
