In roughly 30 days we will be 18 months since the announcement.

So in about a month, if Behringer really hustled, we might see their new DAW.

That would be the earliest - mid September 2021.

First post since 2015! I choose to believe that what you say is true.

end of the year. where is it ? so curious about this, mainly for the hardware integration. Hope behringer will make synths for this daw that do audio over usb, like the access virus ti tried to do. Would drop ableton live for a no hassle hardware synth integration.

They are still working on it - said so on their FB page. They chose to not say more than that, at least for the time being, so there's that - nobody knows anything and there is nothing to talk about.

I hope they add some of TC Electronics old Vst Gems in it too like Mercury and Access Virus Powercore :)

If Behringer’s DAW isn’t a cheap knockoff of something, it will be their first product ever that isn’t.

THIS MUSIC HAS BEEN MIXED TO BE PLAYED LOUD SO TURN IT UP

Although it has some similarities to the Juno, the Deepmind 12 wasn't a knockoff version of anything else.
IIRC the person behind it has left Behringer, but I wish they'd improve on that model. Maybe a multi-timbral Deepthought 42?

You're really giving away your age here. Here's a clue...check back before Behringer started releasing the recent analogue reissues to the hundreds of other things Behringer have made going back to the 90s. Some very original items and generally very well priced. Lots of them definitely not my kind of gear but very useful to those that bought them when no other companies were making them at any kind of affordable price and some quite inventive. I think you have a very naive idea of Behringer and what they were making probably before you were born?

Behringer Liveinger
Behringer Reapinger
Behringer Bitwiger
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Still no Behringer DAW. Is there also a programmer shortage?

Post

Well kind of, yeah.

That is oft-repeated nonsense. Why does it seem to difficult for some folks to just keep their mouth shut about things they obviously don't have the first clue about? :?

Behringer's message sounds more realistic:
“That’s a pretty steep task because you need to make [so] us old folks
who are used to a very specific DAW still find it approachable, but at the
same time you need to really think of new ways to work with this.”
They can't do magic. And they want to program a DAW that opens up
completely new possibilities. Opportunities that didn't exist before:
With the DAW, the brand is being careful not to “recreate something that is
already there,” says Götz Müller-Dürholt, Customer Branding Leader at Behringer.
Fulfilling this high standard could take a long time.

But they are - apparently with a lot of enthusiasm and elation - in the process
of building the DAW:
“They’re really putting a lot of attention to detail in. so it is ongoing, it is a
very big project and ultimately the goal is to make it free.”

This is the most ironic thing anyone at Behringer ever said about their own products in public.
