It might be drums soon. That's the area which is clearly lacking.

Who knows, most likely 2024.
This post was started the second v9 was released, perpetuating a bizarre endless cycle of dissatisfaction that if only THIS obscure synth was modelled properly then the poster would be creatively fulfilled.

Yes, that is pretty much "how it is." Look at it as an opportunity to informally suggest to the powers that be (Arturia) that your post be taken as a gentle suggestion for the future and let it go. I certainly (FWIW, which may not be much) don't understand it as a "bizarre endless cycle of dissatisfaction." Maybe some do, but "that" I can't say.wagtunes wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 11:22 amBut isn't that ALWAYS how it is?noiseboyuk wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 10:34 amWho knows, most likely 2024.

I look at it this way. I have to believe that these companies do market research to determine what people want. So maybe by participating in forums and discussing synths you'd like to see, these companies look to see what synths are mentioned the most.dlandis wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 7:18 pmYes, that is pretty much "how it is." Let me put it this way. I have a ton of emulations (outside of the most popular synths of their time, Minimoog, Prophet, etc.) that I don't think I would have had if people didn't speak up.

Exactly. On the internet and social media, probably next to nothing takes place in a vacuum.wagtunes wrote: Mon Dec 19, 2022 9:56 pmI look at it this way. I'm bypassing V9, I'll wait for v10, see if the value stacks up. Looking for new synth additions primarily, not samplers or romplers.
Well..maybe an Ensoniq would be nice...

I'm predicting that there will be a $99 sale for upgrade at some point that I will just say meh and ignore.

It's weird that Arturia always makes a seperate new version of original versions of their software yet I still prefer that mistake because their originals always have flaws. I really want any flaws fixed rather than many new synths. Software is at a stage that things like the 2600 Cherry Audio makes are nearly identical to the real 2600.
I want all the Arturia plugins to be identical to or better than the originals.

Not too hip on their sampler choices myself, but an EPS and/or Mirage would be neat if it was anything remotely like the hardware.Mungo5000 wrote: Tue Jan 17, 2023 11:37 am I'm bypassing V9, I'll wait for v10, see if the value stacks up.
