I have uploaded a new beta version for macOS, v1.0.5, which includes beta support for the Audio Unit format: https://nakst.itch.io/apricot
It has been difficult for me to find many private beta testers for macOS, so I don't know how stable this Audio Unit format will be yet. Please do not use it in any important projects, and report all and any bugs you find :)

I just tried the AU beta version 1.0.6 in the following hosts successfully on a MacBook Pro M1 Max running macOS Monterey 12.6.2:
Reaper v6.71
Logic Pro v10.7.6
GarageBand v10.4.7
Maschine 2 v2.16.1
Blue Cat's PatchWork v2.61
The UI opens and I can play sounds and change presets in all the above hosts.

A quick test of AU beta 1.0.6 on iMac 2019, Mac OS 10.14.6 (my main music/audio system).
Logic 10.5.1 – check (play and change presets)
DP 10.13 – check (play and change presets)
Ableton Live 11.2.7 – check ( -"-), but crashed the first time, then OK (not unusual with new instrument in Live)
Nice synth – congratulations! I'll look closer at it when time permits.

If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Since you posted your message, I uploaded a new version v1.0.6 which should fix compatibility with macOS 10.14 and 10.15. Hopefully if you re-download it, then it will workmuki wrote: Thu Jan 19, 2023 10:34 pm mojave

working well so far (the AU version in logic)
2 thoughts - not sure if already mentioned:
LFO seems to be only unipolar - optional bipolar would be nice imho
LFO: some smoothing for the waveforms would be useful
for example pulse and S&H produce clicks

This beta doesn't work as CLAP in Bitwig on OSX Monterey. This is the error message:
com.bitwig.flt.library.metadata.reader.exception.CouldNotReadMetadataException: could not read metadata: Could not load executable

For the AU, I think the installation instructions should use the standard install location of
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components
rather than the user folder version (although it will still work there too).
When the plugin asks for a location for the samples and patches, maybe it would be best to use these defaults? (Again, for the AU).
~/Library/Audio/Presets/nakst/Apricot/Patches
~/Library/Audio/Presets/nakst/Apricot/Samples

definitely yes imho
and ditto in re component location, though not sure with newer post mojave sytems...
and another one:
please, the init preset should not have the pingpong delay enabled and active
just a dry saw without fx would be fine imho

Beta version v1.0.7 for macOS is now available, this also include a standalone .app. Again, this is an early beta, so expect bugs/crashes -- and please report them here.
