If you purchase Arturia V9 through NI are you then tied to NI for all further updates/ purchases ? Or will Arturia allow you to update and or purchase from them taking into account you currently own V9 ?
If Arturia release V10 and run a sale I don't want to miss out on a technicality of having purchased from another company.

Arturia is kind of a rabbit hole.

It probably will redirect you at some point to Arturia's website and if the product shows up on their site then promos and upgrades will be shown there. Maybe try going through the purchasing process and see where it leads, idk what you've figured out but this is my line of thinking.BurningSG wrote: Thu Jan 19, 2023 8:48 pm I can see that. I'm assuming it shouldn't be a problem, but with a large purchase like this I'd rather see it in writing on Arturia's web page.

NI almost certainly issue you with a code that you redeem with Arturia; it's how it worked for the three u-he partner sales, so no, you are not tied down to NI for long term support, upgrade discounts etc.BurningSG wrote: Thu Jan 19, 2023 6:58 pm If you purchase Arturia V9 through NI are you then tied to NI for all further updates/ purchases ? Arturia is one of those developers who likes to waste GUI space. With an exception being Pigments.

THeir guis are horrible , nice photoshop skills for sure but the overall feel is clumsy and bloated .
Different folders for different resolutions , c'mon , afaik it's the only company that uses this retarded method .
Lot's of glitches too , black areas with , certain areas that are suddenly completely overscaled etc...
WOrst experience I had was that an info text ballon ( of the ms filter plugin )almost covered the whole screen .
NOt a word from support

The whole FX collection takes about 10-11 GB disk space just because of the GUI pictures
They are super nice, but it can be wisely optimized on a design side for not to waste so much disk space (and time for download).Because this is really A LOT for go-to instruments.
