Bad things happened. I'm right, now though.

^^(Hope that link works). It's Friday and time for another installment of my all things retro VST Muzeum. (Read my previous post for info.) I also want to add while I did put these in FL Studio 21 & Windows 11 and played through the presets, I haven't tried to turn any knobs or save them in a project. These files are :
EVM Occam SE - This is a keeper cause I'm a sucker for a good Pad. I think this is a soundfont synth that EVM added his magic dust to. Sounds beautiful.
Nietzsche - Early stuff by Kriminal. Basic 1st gen Synthedit, but interesting to see the germination of a great talent.
SatreXT - Same by Kriminal.
RotoPuker - By Istvan Kaldor (Hope I got that right) So far ahead of its time. This thing makes some noise & it has to be the best VST name ever. I'll tell you that it shows up in my FL VST picker with a generic 'Synthedit Container' as the name but the makers name is displayed. (This may be why Windows was having such an issue with pulling up more than one copy of SE synths.) I wonder if anymore I try to install like that will cause any issues? Keep you posted.
Happy weekend.

thanks very much for putting this stuff up, it was way before I was investigating any of this stuff, so it is great to see and try old vsts that I never heard of! Thanks again.

I have many CD's of backup, the oldest is 2006, the last is 2011. I'll try to put the most interesting stuff up. I know I have a copy of Albino 3 somewhere with a serial number. I bought it right before they discontinued it, but they were good enough to put it up with a serial activation & I never had any problems with it.

Here's a new batch :
https://www.dropbox.com/s/aiam9ush2bcys ... 3.zip?dl=1
Direct download link. Includes:
Abakos 2: This is by HERC and is not the one available on the website, which is still up. This one doesn't have an arp and is more stable. Hundreds of presets and it still sounds gorgeous. Dev was light years ahead of his time.
Cy FreeMoog; This one is by Cyclick and it's probably the most accurate Moog emu ever done in SE. Used to use this alot in projects and will probably continue this. Aces for bass.
The next two are by Angular Momentum.:
AM Wavedraw and Analog Warfare. Angular Momentum was also a great talent that went on to bigger & better things. I had real GUI issues with these & didn't try to use the wavedraw function. I had 2 other AM VSTs that wouldn't make a sound even when I tried connecting to midi, and the Wavedraw momentarily lost connection with the Bridge for a second producing an error message. But it righted itself after a second and these sound great despite the fact that I never like the way first gen Synthmaster stuff sounded.
Polly8te: Last is the last VST I ever did in Synthedit. I was working on a synth & the code was rewritten making so much stuff incompatible I just gave up. Too bad because this sounds really good. GUI issues with this also, but GUIs weren't my strong suit.
I did find that minimizing, then opening the VST back up would correct the GUI stuff. Anyway, enjoy the trip down memory lane. Peace.

Looking for a plugin called glitcherine -- found it on the wayback machine, but it won't let me download it (network error). Any help would be appreciated.

sandbox?osiris wrote: Tue Jan 17, 2023 2:57 pm So much old stuff on these CD's. The one those came off is labeled 2006. I have .exe files on them but have no clue what they are & don't dare install them. Some have serial numbers that I can't quite be sure of. Will post more soon.
i've just condensed over 1000GBs ...no, more
saw loads of files with unidenfiable name.exe - let antivirus do a bit of cleaning up.
in other words i have loads of dated download folders, all together now, with stuff in them.
just finished getting it all onto one drive today

You must have all the history of Synthedit-made synths and effects there!mztk wrote: Tue Feb 28, 2023 7:15 pm i've just condensed over 1000GBs ...no, moreit was several drives and loads of copies in there over the years with backup versions. total nightmare. VSTs, sound library, soundfont library, synthedit library, freeware, all the other cr*p that ends up on hard drives, photos, etc etc.

it was at p89 then.
but i've seen a few things going through all that that i haven't seen for a long time.
can't face digging into it all just yet. it needs to be condensed down. how do i proceed?
zip up the original download folders for safekeeping? or just tip them all into one folder?
bob bobwood has lots more than me
