In case you don’t know, Softube is offering their modular, heartbeat, and Buchla add ons for $149 this weekend only. What’s everyone’s opinions and thoughts on this? It seems like these are real old and I’m not must of a patch creator, so I’m curious what people think.

I think Softube Modular is the most analog sounding modular instrument currently available. Can’t go wrong.

Softube modular has the right balance between quality (high), quantity (not too many, but enough modules), reliability (established developer who actually develops stuff) and price (watch out for discounts).

The fact that actual euro rack manufacturers are putting there names on this is also a big positive. Although I'd like to see more of them join the "club". With all that said you can't go wrong with the deal.

They don't deduct already owned parts of the bundle from the sale price. If I deselect the item I own(Modular), I get the same price for the rest...
So it's more of an offer for new customers I guess

Can the interface(s) be resized?

The plugin window size can change, but the interface does not scale unfortunately. It's far from the best interface for a modular synth rack environment but it does sound great.

Are they still releasing modules for it? I might bite.

Yes and no -- for Modular itself, no, nothing, not in years. But they have released lots of VST synths that *also* come with modular components: Model-72, 82, 84 (Moog, SH-101, Juno-106) and a few of their non-emulation synths also come with Modular modules.wilkins_micawber wrote: Sun Jan 22, 2023 2:25 am Are they still releasing modules for it? But as for the eurorack style stuff in the collection, none of that has been added to in years.

Hmmm, many of those are analogue emulations, so that seems good. Hope they'll continue to release more things.

The additions of their instruments (Moog etc) and FX (Overstayer) and modulators are immensely widening the possibilities of this eco system.
