I realize I'm an idiot, so feel free to point out how much so I've got a couple of hundred drum samples that I need to lower the gain on by a few dBs. Long story. I've got Audacity, Wavosaur, AVS amongst others, but can't figure out how to batch edit with any of them. Reaper is my DAW. Got loads of NI stuff. Might Battery be an option? Help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Warned you I was stupid. Thanks very much. I use audacity so little, I tend to dismiss it. Wonder why this never came up when Googling? No worries. Thanks again.

Reaper also has a batch converter (File Menu -> Batch/item Convert), with a stack of options including presets, an FX chain (any native effect or VST), normalisation (lufs, rms, peak, true-peak), brickwall limiting, metadata add/strip/passthru, format, bit depth, and sample rate conversion, overwrite original files or clone directory structure to new location, wildcard renaming, etc.
I used it recently to convert and normalise a bunch of .rex loops to .wav (bitwig can't read .rex files); really easy to use and very fast.

Thanks very much. This seems like it might be quicker and more efficient than Audacity. I've recently been using SWS extensions to improve my workflow in Reaper. Thanks again.
