The latency is what made me pass on this one as well. It makes it difficult for me to track instruments while using it and I'm sure that isn't a problem for everybody but it made it difficult for me to get into the plugin.
I love a lot of what Unfiltered Audio does, though, I'll be looking forward to their next release to give it a try

the latency is introduced, because it uses, it seems FFT, for the algoritm; to the left, transients, right; frequencies, well that is FFT... a smaller FFT window; better for transients; bigger; for tonal components...

Most of my music is not "live" per se, plus I use the MIDI editor, so latency isn't as big of a deal for me. Comparable to some of the other reverbs out there (FF Pro R, Valhalla, etc), how is it?

the reverbs and resonator in byome sound really good, ill give this a shot. btw. i still think byome is pretty killer i just would wish for a mild ui overhaul, somethings are a bit unwieldy (smol cables, scrolling sideways).

Every time I ask them why they’ve been excluding modulation from their new plugins the question gets memory-holed by everyone at PA and UA. Wtf? It’s easily one of their most useful features. Even zip has it and it makes less sense on that than on their newer releases.

Yeah, I think I played with the env follower once on Zip but beyond that... nice to have I guess.masterhiggins wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 11:04 amIt’s easily one of their most useful features. Even zip has it and it makes less sense on that than on their newer releases.

Can’t your DAW deliver modulation? If so ask your DAW dev as well to do it. Its more universal and more useful, as its one place to rule them all…masterhiggins wrote: ↑Wed Jun 01, 2022 11:04 am Every time I ask them why they’ve been excluding modulation from their new plugins the question gets memory-holed by everyone at PA and UA. Not if you want to keep your sounds as self-contained patches to use across DAWs and hosts that don’t have it established. Why is this so difficult to understand? Unfiltered Audio already have code for handling modulation and have used it successfully in their other plugs and it makes sense. Should they discontinue their preset-saving system? Why not? My DAW has preset-saving functionality built in. It doesn’t make sense to discontinue something they’re already using to great effect. The workflow is completely different. It’s just disappointing and annoying that they don’t even address it. Fabfilter discontinuing their modulation system would be just as stupid.Tj Shredder wrote: ↑Thu Jun 02, 2022 6:15 amCan’t your DAW deliver modulation? If so ask your DAW dev as well to do it. Really needs a low latency mode

I have both but I don't think Tails really compares that much, at least sonically. They both seem to have some similar aims such adding depth and additional harmonies without obscuring the source, but TAILS has none of Adaptiverb's ability to synthetically add harmonic richness - it can add some shimmer but Adaptiverb is way beyond just shimmer, it's like it creates a whole additional harmonic dimension around the original material.Digivolt wrote: ↑Thu Mar 31, 2022 10:18 pm It sounds pretty good, I probably don't need it because I already have adaptiverb which from reading does the same but in slightly different wording, even if it's half as good as adaptiverb, when it eventually hits the PA $29.99 sale price it'll be a fantastic value in comparison!

Adaptiverb simply remains exceptional. More than re-verb, it’s re-synthesis.aMUSEd wrote: ↑Fri Jul 29, 2022 6:29 amI have both but I don't think Tails really compares that much, at least sonically. There's no doubt that BT is a force in the music world, but man! His video explaining Tails left me out in the desert. He kept on playing the differences between controls being on & off, and I swear, the differences were so subtle, I saw no need for his gleaming praises. 12-year-old Melanie listening to Taylor Swift on her Target earbuds wouldn't know the difference, or give a toss, if Reverse Swap on Tails was activated, thus making the reverb less dense. That said, Tails does appear to have all the elements that would comprise my perfect reverb. I'll give it a whirl after I hit the jackpot at Triple Fortune Garden the next time I hit up the casino.
If you can't dazzle 'em with brilliance, baffle 'em with bullshit.
