Frantz wrote: Tue Dec 27, 2022 9:40 am Another great enroe song. It started in "You Really Got Me" territory and then moved into a more thoughtful mood in the piano section creating a nice balance between aggressive energy and wisfulness. Tanja was given a chance to stretch out in the guitar solo. The percussive noise in the final verse worked perfectly. Not a dull moment in this well arranged song.

With so many elements upfront and compressed in the mix, it is perhaps a little fatiguing? Dropping the mp3 in https://www.loudnesspenalty.com/ shows both Spotify and YouTube would turn down your mix by 3.7dBs.

Great job overall! :tu:
Thank you, Frantz, for your extensive and detailed feedback.
In fact, the overall feeling and overall suspense is very important
to us - and it's actually always a struggle to get that right.

Thanks also for pointing out the loudness. We like it so that it also
sounds good on a mobile phone or mp3 player. This is usually only
possible with fairly high compression. Mmmh, on the other hand,
something like that also has the disadvantages you mentioned.
Let's see ... :D

Awesome vocals and nice variation of hot and quiet passages.
Great work! Cheers.
Thank you for your words of praise! Of course we absorb
them. Thanks!

Lots of energy and feeling which I think is the goal with music and can easily be taken away with too much production, but this sounds very free. I’m not a fan of the vocal style because it sounds synthetic to me, but artistic choice matters more than my opinion. It’s also created a conversation which is very good too.

Seriously nice work!
Thank you elxsound - for the detailed statement!

Yes, the vocals are placed in a dense sound environment and
are therefore heavily adjusted through compression and EQ.
We're working on more "natural" vocals on newer songs though.

Rock on!
Haha, yeah there different definitions and images about
what a "wild man" can be. For some, it has to be "the wild
one" who hunts, fishes and survives completely independently
in the forest. For others, it's the one who isn't quite as adapted
and streamlined as leading the way in the business world.

Musically it is perhaps the one who completely leaves the
beaten path and thus creates an innovative new sound.
Or it's the one that's still within the range of what's pleasingly
audible, but is self-realizing more dynamically and powerfully. :wheee: :hyper:

Oh yes, in a sense "wild" is synonymous with "alive". :o
