what is the best de-sser
not affecting the sound
too much?
My fav one is the de-sser
of SSL Native
Vocalstrip 2 or
Waves Omnischeps
where
you can even have 2 de-essers
at the same time
I use the de-sser of
SSL Vocalstrip only
without the other options
also on harsh hi hats
or cymbals.
Sometimes a (dynamic) eq
or comp can
do the job,
what do you prefer?
Please share your
experience and opinion.

Eiosis e²DEESSER has been the one for me to just set and forget. No coloration, minimal need to adjust the settings, supreme de-essing. It's shame that it seems to have been forgotten in terms of updates over at Slate.

not a de-esser basically, but very effective and accurate for such a task when tweaked for it,...and rather easy to handle : Soundbrigade from Sknote

I had considered the Softube Weiss de-esser, but it was too much money. I settled on the Klevgrand one--for its features, and it works well for me, but I'm not experienced with vocals.

ok, I will change the title
to best de-esser for you
it's more to get some
different opinions on
de-essers that don't color
or affect the sound
too much as I wrote
maybe an inspiration
to demo and try
a plugin
you might not
know yet

I am loving the Lindell 902 (Plugin Alliance) but mostly for taming transients and harshness on the drum or master bus (not vocal sibilance). SSL HF Comp is great for that too.
