Thanks for the info, I'll probably just create a few versions of VM & then explode midi in reaper after playing some chords & assign each single midi to one of the instances if my computer can handle it
Or just go totally mono

The extra stuff I wrote and the limit of 5 voices is a result of wanting to have independent polyphonic channels *inside* a voltage modular instance. There are only 4 audio in jacks which means a maximum of five voices in this way. And I'm still a bit confused about the strange audio "thru" behavior I've been observing. But it does indeed work.
Hm, obviously then not too long release times or patches with feedback loops ... This round is the first where I had to freeze tracks. But I think I have like 30 or so instances in my submission.doctorbob wrote: Sun Feb 05, 2023 4:49 pm I have 23 instances of VM running and this is taking 20% cpu (and 1.1% RT) in Reaper. No issues ...
I wanted poly for my chords![]()

Yes, I'd say it is allowed as it an included free module. BTW, you're 303 sounds pretty 303 to me!] Peter:H [ wrote: Sun Feb 05, 2023 4:42 pm Using "Voltage Modular FX" including Distortion Module is allowed, right?
Thnx Doc for the info
This is new for me - thank you for sharing!doctorbob wrote: Sun Feb 05, 2023 3:35 pm The best way (easy) for chords/polyphony from a MIDI track in Reaper is to :
1. Create extra tracks based on the maximum notes in your chord sequences - check your piano roll and find the chord with the most notes (e.g. 5) - so in this case create 5 extra tracks after the midi track.

Oh yes, if you don't have the piz MIDI utilities - get it here:
