Hey all,
I was recently going through the 1995 game Descent, when I heard the classic escape alarm:
Wait, a minute... where have I heard that before?? Oh, right. On my iphone.
I started researching this further and found that this sound effect was actually used in a lot of things.
Nickelodeon:
Project IGI, Power Rangers, Banjo Tooie...
Anyway, I'd really like to use this SFX in a commercial release and I'm wondering where I might find the license to this sound. Anyone familiar with where it comes from? I figured that if it was this common, it had to be in Sound Ideas 6000, but no avail.
Can I buy this classic alarm SFX?

Necrobump... this is THE sound of the nineties. It was used on commercials all the time. I think part of Toonami and the Disaster Area's bumpers, too. A later sound less famous but just as ingrained in me is this shotgun/pitched taiko hit.
