of course nothing can do exactly the same, but if we consider how groundbreaking it was back then, nowadays pigments are a similar success...

Yes indeed, and it opens new fields of experimentation, still complementary BTW. Absynth often finds its way in my music when I need its specific signature.

Some years back IIRC Brian had mentioned that his next synth will be sample based. I wonder why he did not say so in this video. 2022?
