What's currently the best bass guitar freebie that goes that low? I'm thinking more rock than R&B, but recommendations for both are welcome.

Possibly the free version of Modo Bass, I don't know if it lets you extend the range in the free version though.

"Two playable octaves" in the free version, I wonder which ones.

I'm gonna level with y'all as to why I'm asking this: I don't need samples, I got a 5-string bass I could quickly sample over the next few weeks. If there's nothing decent out there, I could do a "normal" sample set that plenty of people could use, but if that niche is already well-served I can do something weird and more R&D.
