Hi all!

I'm starting with spacesynth composing and there are a couple of sounds that are widely used in this genre, but I'm not able to find them. Can anyone help? If you know if they are included in any Serum, Spire, etc... presets kit or just as a .wav sample would be helpful.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi, thank you very much for the reply and the link to the 2nd sound!

The first one is the one that sounds a bit like a brass instrument. I'm attaching another example.

Thanks again.

aha
I'd download the full fairchild cmi samples. there's bound to be a brass preset in there.
but any free brass vst will have a "cheap" sounding preset/sample in it.

Hey , did you manage where to find that brass instrument sample ?
Edit: I tried to put every cheap brass and of course it didnt sound like the examples even less the orch hit, Im trying to do Spacesynth without having to spend on an Emulator 2 and 3 and the CMI, just want to know where that brass comes from.

The brass instruments are called Horny Hits, i think from a Emax library (https://www.chrisvanburen.com/downloads/ (https://www.chrisvanburen.com/downloads/)).
The orchestra hit sounds like the one used by Laserdance and that's not a Fairlight sample but was taken from a classical album.
Found this answer from Michel v.d. Kuy (Laserdance) online:

What I remember is that I sampled it from a Tsjaikowski Concerto. I lost that sample many years ago.
But…… a few month ago I managed to digitalize my old 16 track tapes incl the Future Generation album. That means that I have all the tracks (sounds) clean, incl this
great orchestra hit!! Of course I will use it for future releases because it is a recognizable sound. I stopped using it after the FG album because it has a chord in it, that means that you can only use it in a perticular key.
