I can confirm.
"Mono" in Twin3 behaves like "Legato" in u-he synths, while modulation is actually displayed as "mono" (modulation retriggers visually, but won't sound like it appears)

LFO has options for Off, Retrigger and Legato.
Envelope SOUNDS like "legato" but displays as "retrigger".

Mono mode appears broken. (Visually)

Sorry. You're just wrong here. I have tried all of what I mention in all those synths. I own them all.

The Mono mode in Twin is exactly equivalent to the Legato mode in Serum, and Diva. In Twin, Poly set at 1 voice is exactly equivalent to Mono mode in Serum and Diva, and in Avenger with OSC voices set to 1.

Avenger doesn't seem to have a Legato mode.

Envelope APPEARS as if it's retriggering; set AD without sustain to filter, you can visually see filter opening, but it does not SOUND like its opening.

It's confusing, it should either be legato and not APPEAR as retriggering or it should SOUND like it LOOKS (like it's retriggering).

And yes you're right, Poly with 1 voice retriggers the envelope VISUALLY and SONICALLY.

So it's a purely visual bug as it appears.
Btw, I think this is an envelope-re-triggering bug and the visuals are correct. In the 3 other synths I tried the envelope re-triggers, exactly like the visuals do. Thanks for confirming my findings though. I've emailed Fabfilter to report the behaviour. :tu:

Yeah I agree, turn the rez up and add drive. It sounds good sweeping the filter. Also, different filter models are nice too.

Slowly I ask myself, if they shouldn't have tested better. I mean it's not the most complex synth of the world. Also they don't make the impression, that they are in hurry with new releases. And of course it's normal to have the one or other bug at the beginning. But also I guess their is room left to improve beta testing for such a quality software company, we all perceive FF as.

Software always has bugs. Question is are people just complaining here? I have yet to see someone mention that they reported these issues. They already said they're planning another release for MPE so hopefully someone is reporting this stuff so fixes get into that release.

I said just a few posts ago, I said I have emailed Fabfilter! Hardly complaining when something doesn't work properly. I did see a lot of posts that did seems a bit moany though. I don't think some people have given this a fair chance, it really is a great sounding synth!

I dont know what it is but the sound is perfect of this synth. Its so pleasent to the ears no matter what i do with it.

Yes indeed. The question is, on which obviousness level do I catch bugs on beta stage, before I roll-out a final release.
Might be, that complaining level here is pretty high, but that's life with all these enthusiasts in a saturated market.

Since people's takes seem mostly negative, I was not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. First off, it sounds really good. High Quality setting seems to barely touch my CPU even with a lot of unison. If you sort of look at it as a bunch of things, it doesn't come off all that great, but the way they implemented the filter is genius. I was sad they didn't have wavetables in this iteration, or at least FM, but the filters are so f'n fun to mess with that I quickly thought, "who cares about wavetables?" Giving each filter node it's own envelope is so much fun. The thing that really bugs me is actually the non-reorderable effects. I mean, that's a huge WTF, right there. At least thy sound decent, but really? Seems like something I'll definitely pick up later this spring.

Honestly it's refreshing to just focus on traditional subtractive synthesis, if only to be reminded of how much is possible without wavetables, FM, samples, wave shapers, and all the other geegaws. I don't understand this obsession with packing every synth with every feature. I love the power synths. I use Pigments all the time. But I also like to take a more targeted instrument, and push it for all it's worth. Think of the hardware world. Do you really want everything to be a Moog One? Learn to work within the limitations of a given instrument. No one complains that a flute doesn't have a sustain pedal.
