Yeah that was my thought too, we were literally just talking about what the main topic of this thread was lmao.

I don’t know what reporting me is going to do exactly considering it’s a public thread on a public website. It’s not like he can even report me for being “off-topic” or whatever justification he might’ve used because it’s literally a thread made for talking about Apple silicon audio plug-ins. I feel like the actual moderators of this website looked at that report and went “I really don’t see what the problem is here other than you filing a report on this person for no good justifiable reason. We’re not going to ban somebody for not talking about the exact things you want them to, how you want them to, and when you want them to.”

But I mean if reporting me for an on-topic discussion helps him sleep at night then so be it. People love exercising any sort of authority they have (or in this case, think they have) because they crave even the smallest amount of power they can get their hands on. I mean just take a look at Reddit. The moderators on that website have turned it into a complete sh*thole for the exact same reason I just mentioned.

Well to be honest I don't care what issues you have with OP, he's performing a great service for free, you and Marcus arguing wasn't really helping anything, just a whinging developer and an annoyed customer of the product being whinged about. Hardly anything of merit at all. If he's a bit of a pedant so what? are you going to spend hours a week compiling a database for free?

Looking a gift horse in the mouth... it might be best to actually let it go.

It’s not about helping anything, the guy running the site can choose to ignore comments in this thread that he finds irrelevant instead of trying to act like the holier-than-thou student in the class trying to settle everyone down instead of doing the ACTUAL mature thing by just letting it go.

It literally takes more time to tell people to stop doing something than it does to ignore it and just find whatever relevant information you need here, which once again means it’s clearly more about trying to exercise some fanatical authority over people than it is trying to get them to stop.

You were literally arguing about nothing of any importance at all, zero relevance to anyone but you and Markus. Some guy who spends hours of his free time compiling information you obviously find useful, addressed you in a way that activated your victim mode, and here we are. Instead of acknowledging that the subject carried no weight or being the bigger man you go off about how other sites are ruined by these types of people blah blah blah. You're literally the same kind of person as teilo in this sense, you're trying to control the narrative and IMO you need to give "yourself" :hihi: a break and move on.

any way.. guitar rig 6 Pro which was apple silicon already for some formats got an update today that adds AAX apple silicon support.

Post

The whole AAX thing is kind of a pain. It's really relevant info for anyone in Pro Tools looking to move to Apple Silicon. But man, going through the entire DB to track this down is an exercise in futility.

There's also the fact that Pro Tools users tend to have a more limited set of go-to tools since they tend to be professional mixing/mastering engineers. I mean, crap, I don't even have Avid in my developer DB, and nobody even noticed.

I can see a point coming when the database will cease to be useful. There are still some significant hold outs we are waiting for, like Kush and Reason Studios, but when those are behind us, everything new is being release native anyway, so it will be almost superfluous to keep adding new plugins.

Post

I've got quite a list left really, VEP, Reason, Altiverb and Speakerphone, PSP N20 + a few more from them.

I guess we can count on Reaktor in the next couple months, and VEP is supposedly in beta, but Reason, Altiverb and Speakerphone are anyones guess.

yeah.. totally agree. it was my half hearted attempt to get the thread back on topic. :)

also, i'm always pleased when there's any kind of update in the NI Native Access app. when the reaktor beta ends and that update shows up there i will rejoice.

i'm still waiting on a few things from SSL, TC 2290, audiospillage's drumspillage2, cableguys Curve2, waldorf and a few other things.

Seems Steinberg released Halion 7 which is silicon native.

Edit: It literally states on the info page that it is silicon native indeed.

Steven Slate Drums, which is separate from Steven Slate Audio and Steven Slate Digital, is also Silicon native since 5.5.5 - no announcement as far as I can see, and I got no notice of an update or anything, but the latest installer (which is the Steven Slate Audio Center, v. 3.0.1) installs it and it reports as Silicon native using Pluginfo (except the AAX version).
