In simple terms what does this mean ?
Hi! Explained here...

It's in the Wotja FAQ. They are a 2-man show and only distribute through the Apple, Microsoft, Google, and Amazon stores.

I was shopping at Target the other day. Went to give them my money but the line was long so I left. If I want to give you money don't make it difficult for me to do so.

Ok I understand that things happen for a reason. I just love simplicity. But it seems that Microsoft has certain rules that complicate the purchasing process. My purchasing did not go quickly and smoothly that's all I am saying.

They don't need your dollar if it costs them more than a dollar to acquire it. Basic economics.

So you are saying that Target was glad I left because they would have lost money if I stayed in line and paid for the merchandise?

Thank you very much indeed! :)

As you will have realised by a helpful poster a post or two back, there are just the two of us - Tim and Pete (me!) - and we've only got the "mental bandwidth" to sell direct through the major app stores (Apple, Microsoft, Google, Amazon).

Those stores do the "heavy lifting" for us in terms of digital distribution of our binaries, store front, tax collection, payment processing, subscription processing etc. - which leaves us as much time as possible to make Wotja as great a piece of software as possible, running on as many operating systems as possible, in as many modes as possible (desktop/mobile app, desktop/mobile plug-in, TV app). Luckily, we've always like a challenge :)

With best wishes to all, Pete

Pete,
The reason I bought Wotja 23 is because it is wonderful software at a very reasonable price.
And you are one of my favorite developers!
I am entitled to make a small critique on the purchasing procedure.
Yes I understand that there are only two of you and am glad you chose to prioritize Wotja over bookkeeping and such.
Also it seems I am to only one having issue with the purchasing procedure so ...

Hi Kalamata Kid!

Believe me, we are very happy that you are a customer :)

You're not alone in not liking App Store purchases - and some stores are better for developers to work with than the others. We've found Apple the easiest to work with... others less so!

With best wishes,

Am having problems with Wotja 23 pro.

I use loopmidi and have set Wotja to output to it, so I can play non VST3 plugins, and also I have a number of standalone apps I'd like to control via Wotja. For some reason, isn't outputting to the loopmidi. I've made a video to show what's happening. Switching audio engines sort of restarts the midi output but there are only 3 notes sent.

I had the problem with Wotja 22 pro also, upgraded thinking that might solve the issue. Have to say though, aside from this problem. It's an amazing amazing piece of software. Just love what it can do, and tons of stuff to experiment with.

Why not try some amazing fractal graphics for your art? I've got a site all about them at JWildfire Sanctuary

Sorry to hear about this. We've just had a user get in touch directly about this issue - I don't know if that is also from you? - and we'll investigate.

I just tried this loopMIDI setup with Wotja 22 Pro 22.9.0, as well with as the new Wotja 23.2.0, and both produced an uninterrupted MIDI output on my system. Using loopMIDI v1.0.16 (27) with Wotja and Kontakt 6/7 works fine. I also verified the MIDI output using MIDI-OX as my MIDI monitor.

I would recommend a little test to rule out either Wotja or the MIDI driver on your system. This should give a bit of further direction to proceed with for troubleshooting:

1. Enable the WAE Wotja internal sound. The MIDI output runs in parallel so there is no necessity to actually disable WAE in order to use MIDI out, other than as a convenience to not duplicate your external sound source.
2. Does Wotja continue to play the internal sound after the MIDI stops in your monitor? If so, that would rule out that the Wotja engine is hanging. In that case, maybe look into your MIDI driver setup for possible conflicts.

@impete

I just went to run Wotja 23 Pro and.....it's disappeared! It's also not available in the store.

I do seem to have Wotja 23 installed and when I run it I can see "23 Pro" with a shopping trolley next to it?! So does it want me to buy it again?

Any idea what happened and how to fix it?

Thanks

Make sure that you are logged into the store. I made that mistake when I was looking for the Wotja 22 Pro download in my store. Owned, paid products won't show up until you actually login to the account that you purchased it with. Otherwise things look normal, and the free stuff appears just fine.
