Probably I’m in a minority but I look at this and shrug. In fact I look at other Soma stuff and shrug.

Looks like a wooden version of that weird sequencer thing from back in the day.

The fun is NOT knowing exactly what you will get, put's you into explore mode, like a child, being amazed at what happens instead of just triggering another 808 sample with a button.

Yes of course, it’s either trigger an 808 or buy into Soma. Exactly.

I pluck a bass guitar string, I know what to expect. That’s the way musical instruments are built, not Russian roulette machines.

Nick nailed it inadvertently, it’s an ‘instrument’ for folks who can’t play a real instrument.

IMO, YMMV, JAMC, etc.

I think I have a different idea of fun.

I only skimmed the vid and I'm not about to run out and buy it, but it looks like I would be a cool experimental toy to contrast the proper synths in any studio.
