Wotja 23 - coming soon!

I just went to run Wotja 23 Pro and.....it's disappeared! It's also not available in the store.

I do seem to have Wotja 23 installed and when I run it I can see "23 Pro" with a shopping trolley next to it?! So does it want me to buy it again?

Any idea what happened and how to fix it?

Make sure that you are logged into the store. I made that mistake when I was looking for the Wotja 22 Pro download in my store. Owned, paid products won't show up until you actually login to the account that you purchased it with. Otherwise things look normal, and the free stuff appears just fine.

When I look in the store at my libraries it shows Wotja 22 Pro and Wotja: Generative Music System (I can see a "23" on the icon) but no other Wotjas are listed.

Okay, I think it must be an update to the naming of Wotja as when I click on this...



it takes me to this...



So it looks like Pro functionality IS unlocked and it's just the naming that's changed.

IMPete yes it is me who got in touch, I was hoping someone had a quick fix, or knew what was going wrong.

zzzooom - IMPete replicated the problem on the setup he had too. When it stops working both the internal and external sounds don't play. Plus, it was strange that Noatikl was outputting to loopmidi, but Wotja appears not to be. Also strange how changing the sound driver, kind of restarts note output again (albeit for 3 notes).

The visualisation screen that displays the text and the animation behind mixes stops too as the notes stop (with/without WAE). I can't find anything in loopmidi to setup other than ports, is there something else I can check midi settings with ? Thanks for your reply.

Hmmmm... interesting. Not seeing anything like that here on my Windows 10 machine. The loopMIDI output as well as the Wotja GUI and WAE keeps right on rolling!

As you're an Android user, you might alternatively look at the Amazon store for your device; we support both the Amazon App Store for Android, and (in many, but not all locations) the Google App Store.

Simply hope I can buy a "regular" version 24 at beginning of 2024 for kind of a usual price (2023) at my most hated buy place windows app store....

Sorry, its hard enough to keep track on the Wotja app and updates but this parallel version-marketing-sales stuff just drives me completely mad

Hi. Understood about the Microsoft Store as we have to work with it too, but it is the only possible show in town for us for Windows and we are grateful for that - and it is slowly getting better!

The annual paid-for variant is simply never coming back, sorry. Having each year to build/test/maintain/release 2 separate versions, where one was new, was a huge overhead for us - and we are not getting any younger. Time spent doing that meant time not spent on other things.

Besides, there are too many advantages to having one free app with the new hybrid fullgrade-featuregrade pricing approach to PUN pricing. One being that e.g. the price of the 24 Pro PUN (and future PUNs) will be less than the price we would have had to run with for a separate paid-for app - for both long term AND new users. The larger the user base, the more there is to share.

We did feel it important to give our users the heads up on it, and rationale, and so we have tried our hardest to explain it all, and to make it as simple as we can. But, trying to explain something that will only really become clear in 2024 is actually quite a challenge!

It may well be that to help in understanding we can create some screenshots once 23.3.0 is out, so thanks for the feedback!

Or alternatively, open the Microsoft Store on your Windows desktop and use its search bar to find "Wotja". Should take you right to it!

Correct, using Opera, I go to the URL with a download in the upper right side of the page, but nothing happens.
I've also tried Firefox.
I don't have a use for mobile at the moment...
I've had this issue before. It sucks but I don't have any time to spend on it.
