Hey there, I recently purchased Duck and ran into an issue. I've made a screenshot for clarity: https://imgur.com/cVQYzdC
I'm ducking a synth line with a sidechain input from the kick. As you can see in the picture, I've adjusted the curve at the end of the loop, because it sounds better this way. However, when I take the kick away now (for example to lead into a bridge), the plugin still "ducks" the synth because I have a slope at the end of the loop (the vertical yellow line indicates where the plugin 'stopped' which means my signal is getting ducked permanently). Now every other sidechain ducking plugin I have pretty much deactivates the moment it doesn't get a sidechain input (i.e. when you take the kick away in the arrangement, the plugin doesn't take effect). Yes I could automate the Amount, but now I have to create additional automations whenever the kick doesn't play, which is kind of tedious. I'd like to set the plugin to duck when a sidechain signal hits it, and when it doesn't hit I don't want it to take effect at all. Is that possible, am I missing something?

Unless I'm misunderstanding something, what is the Trigger Mode set to? When I have it set to Sidechain and key Duck to the kick, it will stop ducking when the kick is not playing, just like every other ducking plugin.fudgewastaken wrote: Sat Dec 03, 2022 2:01 pm Hey there, I recently purchased Duck and ran into an issue. As you can hear, the Synth is getting ducked when I take away the kick, because of the slope at the end of the loop. Is this just how it works, or is there a way to make it not duck the synth, when there is no sidechain information (i.e. when I take away the kick in this example)?

Yeah that's because the last dot of your sidechain curve is down, put it up in the end of the curve editor and that will fix it

Thanks that's what I was wondering. Unfortunate.Vortifex wrote: Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:12 am That's how it works. Whatever the final level you set with the blue control is the level at which the plugin allows the source to continue playing when the sidechain signal is absent. The only ways to get around your issue are to not use the curve at the end, or automate the wet/dry.
