I really like the update and the sound. Well done, Markus!

What I still find a bit strange is the abbreviated "BROWS" in the tab above the main display. But, to be honest, I can't think of any alternative for this, apart from making the font slightly smaller. But then you would have to do this for all the other tabs, too (in order to be consistent), and I am not sure if that would look good.

Question: Why doesn't the keyboard in the browser view respond to incoming MIDI notes? When you click on the keys with your mouse, the keys do respond (so the keyboard works, and there seem to be pictures for keys that are pressed down).

I have been comparing versions, the 2.9 with Electra's 3.0. The new version has a subtly more open sound when you want it to be, that is, depending on the sound type settings you use. Transient + Bass gives an excellent brightness to some sounds that are a bit muffled, without the need to touch the EQ on the effects, this is very nice. However if you set it to 'Analog Boost' which is my favorite in version 2, it cuts the mids and highs a bit and rounds out the tonality to an analog taste. In version 3 the new oscillators are Top-Notch. In this video I only show version 2.9 in the video above I show version 3. The problem of the note going out of pitch and sustain would not be related to Electra but to the midi Driver I use, anyway I know that Markus continuously makes improvements and adjustments to the final sound of Electra.

For the new high quality oscillators, the new improved reverbs, the quality of the LFO in steps and the excellent filters without a doubt the new version 3 I consider the best, if you haven't bought it yet, believe me it's worth it.

A: It can need significant GPU performance when lots of midi notes are sent to the plugin. There are still low-end laptop PCs around that have extremely slow graphic cards.
If there is serious demand on this I can implement an animation of the keys. But it's a little risky.

Listening to your 2 videos, there really are a lot of excellent presets that you have created. I personally love the lush, wide and detailed patches evident in the pads, leads and keys. Your layers are so interesting and tasteful. The sound evolves so well. Your use of Electra's lush reverb, phaser, chorus etc is brilliant.

Honestly, as I said in one of my posts - I felt the high price of the synth did not justify what I heard in the factory presets etc. There just was something lacking.

I started listening to your presets in both your videos - I was like WOW!!!! This synth can produce the goods!

I am now convinced, and I purchased Electra 3. Thanks so much Tone 2 for such great synth with extremely good, clear, sound quality.

NB. My opinion - you should sell these presets commercially, or Tone 2 would be wise to request a soundset from you. Well done

I have never heard Electra sound like this or even associate this sound with it.

Purchased the upgrade. Thank you Markus for considering more modulation matrix slots in the future. Like I said, it's not a complete deal breaker and I'll always support your efforts as you've been so good over the years with updates and in general with creating amazing synthesizers!

On feature request (sorry!):

Would it be possible to add crossfade looping to the sampler part? Would be nice if there was some way of easily and quickly getting click free loops without having to use 3rd party editors for creating the loop points.

This would allow very quick drag and drop of any audio into Electra 3 and then simply select from a few crossfade options for the loop points.

Another thing would be ping-pong looping.

I know Electra isn't a sampler but it's such a good "all in one" kind of synth that with a few more sample looping features it could directly compete against Avenger and other synths that also feature sample layers.

Heck, with a few good samples Electra 3 is actually the closest to a typical Roland/Korg/Yamaha kind of workstation thing with it's 4 separate layers.. except to my ear Electra 3 sounds way better!

.. or maybe this is more of a v3.5 or even v4 thing.
