Is there any freeware plugin/standalone app that can do stem isolation? I know about spleeter, but it doesn't seem to be on no more. There is some other stuff using it's algorithm, but it's paid, and I'm more than sure that it can be done without money, since that's how it used to work.

Using reaper, which expands possibilities - anybody?

I saw producer AU5 praise the "ultimate vocal remover" in his video in how he removed the vocals for a Skrillex remix.

I think Google is behind Gaudio Studio. They have a stem isolation that I think are better than Spleeters.

Thanks, gonna check it out - surprising that it's over 1,5GB. For a vocal remover? Interesting.

Just tried UVR and wow lol. I mean it's not a studio vocal stem but very much usable, and a lot better than iZotope RX and mvsep imo. Thanks for the recommendation.

Thanks to another post, I found and tried "demucs", which is the engine behind some big name software I think. It's open source and works pretty nice from what I've tried so far.
But to get its full potential you need to run from the command line.

Yes. I think than demucs is the current state of the art. Vastly better than spleeter.

Different versions or implementations of demucs can be tried here: https://huggingface.co/spaces?sort=modi ... rch=demucs

I've had good results with StemRoller.
