Arabic Sample Library - which includes highly sampled Mijwiz

Hi All,

New to KVR!

Was wondering if anyone can recommend any single instrument, or larger packs such as:

Uvi World Suite
Ethno World
Best Service

Which feature a sample rich Mijwiz. It seems that the best place to get this sound is in middle eastern arrangers - like Yamaha A5000, PA4X, and Kronos expansions (by Kelfar)

Any help would be appreciated - i feel we should have this by now - in 2023?!

The only library I know of with one is

It's not Kontakt - it's their own player I think. I don't own it, so no idea how good it is. Maybe Google some reviews.

Best Service Persia and ISW Koron do not have this instrument (I guess there's no Persian equivalent). I have many World libraries, none have a mijwiz.

yeah i've seen that - but no demo - and that library isnt particularly expressive :/
i'll take another look at it though.

AFAIK it's just Garritan and the old, no longer available Herman Witkam library which goes back to Gigasampler days (and might well be the same samples).

could I ask what that library is called? I might be able to open Gigasample libraries in FL DirectWave - which would be incredible

Herman Witkam R.A.W. Ethnic Instruments. Not available in years, but apparently some people messaged him nicely around 2019 and got him to give them a link.

I also know a guy who likes collecting ethnic woodwinds and would be happy to sample mijwiz and/or arghul if I bought the instruments for him, haha.

i actually can sample it myself - that's what im thinking i will have to do.
I'm just a little lost for words as to why all the middle eastern samplers around for Kontakt seem to miss this instrument out - when it's key for styles like dabka...

But I don't think even this sampled one will have anything like the depth or realism that you are looking for.

If you want to sample it, go for it. There were also no kora samples and no tagelharpas until just a few years ago, and it's still not hard to run across a traditional instrument nobody's sampled yet. Ever buree, for example.

I suppose you mean no very deep Kora… Kontakt Factory Lib. “World” folder has had one for some time. It’s fairly serviceable IME.

unfortunately the taqs.im one is hopeless. their offering is incredibly static in general :/
the concept of their product is great - i just wish it was more...
