I’m working on a VR project and I’ve not done anything with Ambisonics yet. I use Bitwig as my primary DAW, but I’ll need something to create ambient beds to give virtual spaces some aural depth, but what? This isn’t some super complex project, but a good easy to use workflow would be perfect. Meaning, I’ll forego something super flexible to get an easy to use system. The software only supports 1st order anyway. The obvious answer is Reaper, but I wanted to hear a few more opinions before I start digging in. Thanks.

Reaper and Cubase are both good options. Cubase has a more integrated workflow which can both be an advantage as well as a disadvantage. If it is just for one project, it is probably not worth the cost though. Most people in the Ambisonics space work with Reaper.

What do you mean by "integrated workflow?" Integrated with what?
