Create and play MIDI pattern on G0
scroll through next few presets, get to CLAV PARTY, everything goes silent, cannot scroll to next preset or back, need to reload UVI Workstation

Can confirm this also on Falcon 2.8.5 x64, Reaper 6.76, windows 10. The GUI gets red outlines and no sound anymore, need for restart of Falcon.

You guys are amazing! Love how quickly you’re taking action!

One big wishlist item for me is to have multiple sequences saved and triggered with keys. Having just one in C4 is limiting. With MIDI export this is now less important, but for speed of workflow both in live performance and non-live composition, this can save a ton of time!

Used it in a session the other day and it was very useful! It’s a great performance engine and the round robin/velocity layers keep it sounding fresh. Laying down takes with it goes pretty fast- I did a couple looped takes and had plenty to work with.

One tip for other users- if you don’t want the keys to restart each drum’s respective sequence, mute one of the eight tracks and hold down its key starting from the beat you want the sequences to start at. That way, as you play the other drums you don’t have to be as precise about triggering them, plus you’ll get to hear the whole sequence.

(I read the manual and looked at the presets and sounds in the back)
How about if I want to get realistic congas for example? There are a bunch of different articulations for a few different congas. There are only 8 parts in Perc factory - so does each part only load one articulation? (slap, mute, finger etc). So would you lead a new instance of Perc factory for each conga, or maybe 2 congas (4 articulations each) per instance?
Does that even make sense with the sequencer - since you'd never really play 2 articulations at the same time - or does the AI figure this out?
What does the "conga classic" preset load - for example?

I'm trying to figure this out before March 8 ;)

I'm thinking I could probably get some great perc parts anyway - but I'd prefer to be able get conga/bongo type parts that sound like a real player (ish) with easy programmability.

Am I over thinking this?

Each track is one articulation.

So is it worth setting up an instance for a conga or two, then another instance for a bongo or two and maybe another one for cowbell etc - or is this not really what Percussion Factory is made for?

Does this sound like a reasonable thing to try out?
(I would do it myself if there was a demo)

Of course, the intended use and the presets sound great - I was just wondering about using it for more indepth instruments (more articulations per instrument)

Sure, you can have one instrument with 8 articluation per instance.
the only downside if that if you use the internal sequencer, you will not see the full sequence in one glance

I second this one. Adding the drag&drop MIDI fixed DAW arranging issue, this suggestion would fix live arranging issue. And also make DAW arranging even easier.

Great product regardless.... it really solves the problem of quickly and easily creating interesting, varied, and unique percussion tracks. Much better than digging through sample libraries or buying lots of Kontakt percussion instruments.

OK thanks for the info - I think I'm gonna try this. Not seeing "everything" at once isn't a big problem. 😉

I really like this one and the features are great.

I have two requests:
It would be much more helpful and fun if one could do the MIDI export for each sequence individually -
and that it would possible to access the user samples from the internal samples browser, because drag & drop gets tiresome after a while.
@ UVI : any chance that you can implement these two features?
