Hi, i am trying to make an acid bass that is used on an old trance track (amphetamine remix) , i watched a sytrus tutorial but i still dont know how to make it , im not familiar with acid bass, here's the acid bass i need to reproduce, please use headphones to listen it well , its used behind the melody in all the track where there is melodies, but you have to be very careful to hear it , i timed it here as an example (at 1:42 min), it seems it has flanger and some other effects. I am using FL Studio 8, i have also serum.
Thanks in advance.

Well, I hear what you are talking about it should not be too hard to duplicate I get that kind of sound on alot of sequencers using whatever synth with LP 12/24 filter with LFO augmenting filter cutoff gingerly with all other settings to suit personal pref.
Experimentation & Flamboyance are the key.

Are you talking about the supersaw bassline being doubled by itself, ran thru a filterbank with a resonant lowpass or perhaps bandpass with a random LFO on the 16th note then obviously going thru a phaser effect in the first few bars? If so... That's my answer.

Yeah, and obviously going through a trance gate.eb23 wrote: Sat Mar 04, 2023 12:59 pm Are you talking about the supersaw bassline being doubled by itself, ran thru a filterbank with a resonant lowpass or perhaps bandpass with a random LFO on the 16th note then obviously going thru a phaser effect in the first few bars? But I don't think it is acid... Acid to me is a resonant filter opening widely and shortly when a not is triggered....

I think i am wrong about the name of that kind of sound , it starts around 1:39 when kick starts, its that kind of bass with very low volume that moves with the kick during all the track and that becomes covered when melody synth and pads and other sounds are used in same time, we can also listen it clearly at 4:27, by the way it has a flanger effect.CHOOS wrote: Sat Mar 04, 2023 12:44 pm I dont hear an acid sound? There's supersaws with a lowpass filter but if you can give a timestamp?

Mmm, if we are talking about the same thing, I start to think that it is in fact an effect, not an instrument. I mean by that a delay or something similar on the main lead and an heavy process like distortion and filtered (and indeed a flanger).majidbess wrote: Sat Mar 04, 2023 6:02 pmCan you explain more how to make it ? i managed to create the same supersaw melody (on sylenth vst , i am using FL studioeb23 wrote: Sat Mar 04, 2023 12:59 pm Are you talking about the supersaw bassline being doubled by itself, ran thru a filterbank with a resonant lowpass or perhaps bandpass with a random LFO on the 16th note then obviously going thru a phaser effect in the first few bars? , but i never got that bassline with the supersaw melody , i think its an independant sound , i can be wrong as im not a professional..
It is exactly the kind of sound you can have from a basic lead on which you apply a Kilohearts snapped or multiples preset.

I think its a different sound, at 1:31 you can listen the supersaw melody without the sound im asking for..

Sure, because the effect is suppressed ... do you year it once without the supersaw?
Anyway I may be wrong also.
