Very cool! I'm a fan of Apricot, it's fun to use, so looking forward to see what the big brother will be like. Happy to try and contribute a few patches if needed

Which CLAP to VST3 wrapper?fdigl wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 3:02 amThere is an FL Studio native version, and if you don't have any of those DAWs there is a CLAP to VST3 wrapper that functions quite well.Boy Wonder wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 1:31 am I'm guessing I'd have to use Reaper or Bitwig for this because it'll be CLAP only?

I wanted to try Apricot, but virustotal find something malicious. Probably it's a false positive, but if you can fix it would be a better and safe way to use it

Oh samples are time stretched? Thats great. It's something missing from many synths with sample oscillators. If there is movement or modulation in the sound, it can be important to maintain the same sample duration when playing different pitches.nakst wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 7:33 amThe available formats will be:Boy Wonder wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 1:31 am I'm guessing I'd have to use Reaper or Bitwig for this because it'll be CLAP only?

Looks great. Are oscillators mod sources in the matrix? MPE? Polyphonic Aftertouch? I guess not too important if it’s Clap…

I also made a guide on how to build it yourself, but in the coming weeks I'll setup CI to build it automatically.

What’s the planned cost, and what type of copy protection? I avoid copy protection other than serial#s, keyfiles, or watermarks.

If it's anything like Integrate, there will be no copy protection.audiojunkie wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 2:19 am What’s the planned cost, and what type of copy protection? I avoid copy protection other than serial#s, keyfiles, or watermarks.![]()

I could live with that.fdigl wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 5:04 amIf it's anything like Integrate, there will be no copy protection.audiojunkie wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 2:19 am What’s the planned cost, and what type of copy protection? Oh sorry, I think I used the wrong terminology. Both pitch and duration of the sample is changed. However, you can simulate a "multisample" by specifying the octave mapping for the sample layers.Echoes in the Attic wrote: Sat Mar 04, 2023 4:31 pm Oh samples are time stretched? Thats great. Actual pitch stretching would be a bit too heavy on the CPU for my vision with Altitude. Its low CPU is quite a big selling point, I think. I have a test project with a bunch of instances of the plugin and it barely makes a dent in the CPU usage, even on my mobile CPU.
I need to ask my beta testers to record some performance comparisons with other synths, and then I'll post the results here.

Absolutely no copy protection. The longevity of my instruments is of great importance to me, and any form of copy protection would hinder this.audiojunkie wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 2:19 am What’s the planned cost, and what type of copy protection? As for the cost, I am still undecided. Altitude has an impressive set of features, and I have invested a lot of time into building it. 17 effect units, 15 filter algorithms, a tighly-knit modulation section, etc.... all this takes careful planning and a great deal of work. And as several of my beta testers have confirmed, Altitude is up there with several of the existing big-name synths in terms of capabilities and workflow -- and still manages to beat most out in terms of performance.
If I low-ball the price, then people will incorrectly assume the synth is low-quality. And if I high-ball it, then nobody will buy it. Picking the right cost is honestly one of the biggest challenges as an independent developer
