So, do you think it is humanly possible to go for an Arturia 3U and stick to that?

you could always fit the modules with knurlies, so that you can swap in modules while still sticking to a 3u rack.
An idiot on Set Theory:

do you have a vision for the modular, or are you more like me, happy to experiment and find new things?
if the latter, 3u is just the beginning
but it could be a powerful little synth alongside the arp, and cover a lot of sonic range with the additional filters and brains module, so if you are the vision type, then yes, 3u is easily enough

You left out the 4hp power switch (or is it 6hp?).Stefken wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 11:50 am So, do you think it is humanly possible to go for an Arturia 3U and stick to that?

I’ve seen DIY mods where they cut a hole on the top to place the power module there, so it depends if that’s something you want to do.
As for if it’ll be enough?
Shabdabriah posted to a modular case that can be expanded… https://sinusoda.com/#
I’m thinking of getting one.
The other route is to not think you’re done, but maybe just your Arturia 3U is finished. Pekbro tends to use multiple smaller racks as opposed to one large rack.
I don’t advise my setup as it’s out of necessity, but I have x2 94 hp racks built into my desk and then x2 48 hp 4MS pods (and a blue Marvin). I don’t feel like I’m done, but I’m done until I figure out a better system (or find space to expand).

I’ll second this… Definitely buy the knurlies even if you think, that’s it.whyterabbyt wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 12:56 pmdepends on your self control.Stefken wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 11:50 am So, do you think it is humanly possible to go for an Arturia 3U and stick to that?

You might decide to rearrange things or want a different module… seriously so many reasons those knurlies become worth it.

I have a Polara but the end of a jack broke off and is stuck in the pedal. You’ve reminded me I also have a Digitech Nautila modulation and Obscura delay pedal. I must dig them out and try them with my B.2600.One interesting option is Digitech Polara because it has legit Lexicon algorithms.

Hmm, I m digging this Disting EX more and more. Scope creep someone.
~Rings and ~Braids have been integrated into the module.
No Clouds but there is a granulator. And as far as it s reputation goes more on the way...

can you not open the polara and push the cable tip out from inside?SHall1000 wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 6:07 pmI have a Polara but the end of a jack broke off and is stuck in the pedal. If not, screw a screw in to the back of the tip, then pull screw out!

I suppose i just ask.
Can somebody explain how you can connect TouchOsc on an ipad with a modular rig?
Disting Ex can be operated via an on screen editor which is much nicer than a tiny screen.
It uses the TouchOSC platform, sending midi messages. Not sure how to connect it to modular though (preferably wirelessly).

Tried everything bar opening the pedal. Are the jack sockets accessible? Couldn’t get a screw to “take”in the metal tip.vurt wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 6:50 pmcan you not open the polara and push the cable tip out from inside?SHall1000 wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 6:07 pmI have a Polara but the end of a jack broke off and is stuck in the pedal. Even asked a local horologist to try but he had no luck.

Yes, this is big, but there is a good possibility I won't include the Subharmonicon (big $$)
Continuing from what I have already posted on this forum, I want a rack with my Eowave Quadrantid Swarm at its center.
Basically, just enough to expand its functionality with sequecers, drums, and mixing.
I'm a noob here, so any advise is appreciated.

It would be nice to get a rack that has a dust cover- the Behringer Go has a decksaver cover so it is my starting point. It says 2X 140hp but now that I look at it, that might be too big for my needs.

With patience and the right tools, you can get it out. Small flat screwdrivers can be used to depress the contacts. While doing this you need to shake and try to get things to come loose. It may take more than one "intervention." I can't give you specific advice more than that. The jack may or may not be accessible from the inside, but, has a pretty good chance of offing some accessibility. I would try that first.SHall1000 wrote: Sun Mar 05, 2023 10:31 pmTried everything bar opening the pedal. Are the jack sockets accessible?
