Makes me wonder what T-rackS 6 is going to be. The Fazertone freebies are excellent.

I don’t know. Before I posted about the Fazertone plugins, they had literally zero discussion on KVR.El°HYM wrote: Mon Mar 06, 2023 11:24 am So, if this LVL-01 and the other Neural thing are that good, why is almost no one on #kvr actually talking about these?
I think the answer has to be because KVR members are herd animals that can only make the sound “yoooo-heeeee”

Knowing IK, T-RackS 6 won’t bring any significant DSP updates to existing models.
But in another year or two, you’ll be able to buy a new AI-powered product called T-RAX.

Well, I would certainly be open to more space/time-based fx from Fazertone. The phaser kills the one in Amplitube. A nice chorus and delay would be great.
Compressors, too. But the current TrackS is good enough for me.

I just hope Fazertone hasn’t given up. It seems to be one guy from Ireland. The Fazertone Facebook only has 20 likes and 25 followers, and hasn’t been active for several months. This is why I’ve been trying to spread the word about these amazing plugins.Bombadil wrote: Mon Mar 06, 2023 6:07 pm Well, I would certainly be open to more space/time-based fx from Fazertone. LVL-01 is a pretty interesting device; not quite 'there' yet, but still good.jamcat wrote: Mon Mar 06, 2023 5:52 pmI don’t know. Happy Holidays. I am skeptical of the AI moniker because I have a small bit of knowledge about AI and it seems to me a plugin isnt going to actually be doing that kind of processing in real time. I think the scope of the concept of "AI" has been expanded so that it can be used for marketing to hype products. In general, I roll my eye and ignore any AI claims of plugins. I would believe it if I actually saw a demo of the live code in a plugin actually doing AI processing. Nothing is out there like this. Mostly its just a really loose sense of "machine learning" and even then its far fetched. Too much hype about these things in order to attempt to increase revenue.
That Tone Empire LVL01 video is so full of holes, unspecifics, meelymouthing and hype its not funny. I don't buy hype and I don't recommend it either.

Agree, just some complex algorithms, I really doubt audio software developers have the data and computer power to train AI, specially for a plugin here and there.plexuss wrote: Wed Dec 25, 2024 8:11 pm Happy Holidays. Of course you can run AI in realtime on audio, it's how zoom and your macbook filters your background audio on calls. There's even a mode in CHOWTapeModel that uses AI I think, and that's open source so you can check yourself. And training your own model isn't that hard or expensive. You're thinking of LLMs.

None of the AI I interact with can 'hear' anything. Of all the software AI I think Ozone Master Assistant does a decent job. But it still only lines things up for you and you have to rely on yourself to do the rest.
