VST MIDI loop interpreter for MIDI block chord file / track does it exist?

Hi Folks.
I am on a quest to find a VST that can take a midi loop and make it follow a MIDI chord track. With some DAWs its not an issue, as they have a dedicated chord track that does the magic. My DAW of choice is Cakewalk which is missing that feature. So... I am looking for "interpreter"  VST without internal sounds  that would do what is possible with a Chord track in DAWs like Cubase or S.One. For simplicity assume Midi loops / segments are of Piano.

Here is a specific scenario: I have a block midi chord file for the entire tune. I want to be able to route that as an "input" to presumably available VST, load my 3rd party MIDI loop /clip to that VST, so it can do transposition interpreting in relation to the MIDI chord track and to send midi "out" to another track where I will have my virtual instrument.  The key is simplicity, not a convoluted way. (I tried a few of them :) )

For example Session Guitarists of NI can simply take input from MIDI block chord track and will do the magic. All you have to do is operate key switches and do some minor "creative" adjustments, but all very streamlined. Also, I really like some of the Studio / Abbey road Drummer stuff from NI. You can just open an internal browser, audition internal (or third party!!) clips in real time in any part of the tune and just drag them (midi clips) to the track of your choice. So yes, simplicity in usage is #1 goal.

Maybe there is nothing out there that will do what I want...  KVR is one of the best  music making communities, so my hope is, if something like this exists, people here would know.

I thank you for your time.
Mike.

May be, EZKeys? I don't own it and don't use it but I studied the question as I wanted to buy it. You work with MIDI and chords internally, edit chords and definitely can export MIDI in DAW. It seems it has MIDI output but I'm not sure. May be you could disable internal sounds of EZKeys, I don't know too.

This is the single thing that comes to my mind. But in any case possibilities are limited.

Sorry, it's not exactly what you are searching for and from your explanation what you are really want isn't clear. Simulating chord track in DAW with a plugin is a problematic task. Chord track is an internal feature of DAW, it is deeply integrated in "playback engine" of DAW, plugins cannot be combined with it.

lobanov,
Thank you for trying. Believe it or not, EZkeys was something I was considering. The issue is they are more of a full fledge instrument.

Well, keyboard arrangers from 80s (even the cheapest ones) could do it - play melodic midi clips according to keyboard or MIDI input. So technology is over 3 decades old (probably way older). Surprisingly having very tough time in finding something that can work similarly in DAW.

Re-Midi an interesting plugin, but doesn't talk to MIDI chord track. Scaler is close (it can take MIDI chord track input) with their performances, but no third party loop / phrase support and browser.

Have a look at the Reaper JS plugins as you can use them in other DAW's with reajs.dll VST download reaplugs https://www.reaper.fm/reaplugs/
I had that all worked out how to do that some time back, when it comes back to me I'll post it here.

Create a Midi block chord track and send to the target track that needs to be snapped, In Reaper put the it in the resource folder REAPER\Effects\MIDI then load the JS Snap to source chords on the target track and send it's midi out put to your VSTi, set the midi channels for the chord and target tracks.
In other DAW's put it in VST Folder\ReaPlugs\JS\Effects\midi then load the reajs.dll VST then in the MIDI menu Snap to source chords. If you have Reaper installed it will default to using the Reaper Effects folder unless you put and ini in the VST Folder\ReaPulugs

You can also use ReaJS VST > Load > ix > MIDI KeySnap

Thanks everybody for input.
I settled for EZkeys. While not exactly what I was hoping for, but it does the job of interpreting MIDI phrases to custom chord progression, plus it has MIDI out, so it is possible to re-voice anything to anything. What got me sold is the EZkeys V2 which comes out in May which will have the feature of live chord recognition, so it will follow chord track without writing or importing chords to its timeline (to my understanding)

Another item I picked up, which has a lot of potential is Phrasebox.

I think scaler may also be able to do this. It has a learn function where you play in the midi chord and then you output midi to a track - with many options on how to do it.

I was an early adopter of Scaler. While it is a fun and useful toy, personally I don't like the route they have taken with the latest release. It's not really designed for the stuff I am after, which is transposing 3rd party (or your own) Midi phrase according to chords given in a musical way. Which EZ keys does.
