Apparently I have the Minimonsta NFR and don't qualify for an upgrade price.

Eh...

I don't know what this filter not working thing is all about. There is a clear bass boost when switching to modern filter, unless you have emphasis + cutoff at max. That's it. Other then that there is a clear audible difference. It's just a bass boost, but it's there.
As for the filter sweep ugly chirping thing, I am trying to replicate this, and still unable to. Even at higher key ranges like C5 or above, I just don't get anything of the sort. The filter and feedback tweaking do create some folding and unexpected artefacts, but just like in Monark. So I'll give it a few more tries, but seriously as of now I can't find that tiny window of ugly chirping is.
As for the knobs being to shiny, GForce should make the dots cyan blue or red like in Diva, other than that I really like the GUI so far.
Just my opinion

I heard elsewhere that this not a policy as such, but a bug/limitation in their shop, that makes the upgrade pricing not show up on certain license types, and if you drop them a line, they will manually send you a coupon to get the upgrade pricing.

Worth a shot, if you're looking to upgrade...

Yep, I reported the same above - it's clearly working on the Mac AU version here. Other people suggested that perhaps it was broken in their format/platform they were using - what version/platform did you test it on?

Also, 100% agree on your comments on the interface. :tu:

Great! Thanks for posting back. :tu:

I think it's in GF's interests to get as many users as possible migrating to the new codebase, for support reasons, hence the attractive pricing. But I guess the offer won't last forever...

First, define "better sounding."

Pretty different sounding. Minimosta2 is brighter and has more clarity. Model 72 is softer and spongier.

Yes, filter switch in Mac AU working for me, as well.

Minimonsta2 wins that for me just because it can go so far beyond simple Minimoog sounds. But if I only want simple Minimoog sounds, I use Model 72.
