Pigments consume more cpu than Diva. Not light when compared to the competition.

Well they are totally different synths so its hard to do a like for like patch, but neither is a particularly heavy hitter on a modern machine...Diva is pretty old!

Diva is cool, and one of the best virtual analog synths, but it's not in the same league as Pigments.

Diva's also quite old now...
Windows 10 and too many plugins

lol. Just lol

“Not in the same league” means different category or different quality?

Post

They are definitely a different category but as good as Diva is, I don't find myself using it very often, there have been a lot of great synths since Diva came out and I find synths that can do more than basic VA/Subtractive more useful and more interesting sounding in VST form (Pigments, Phase Plant, Falcon, Avenger etc)

for meat and potato va sounds Diva is great but if you want to go into more interesting experimental sound design u need Pigmen or supasyn like that

And it's free for existing users. Nice.
I have V Collection 9 but I see it as $89 for the update.

Totally fair. Diva with the ability to swap out oscillators for samples (hopefully NKI, EXS, or some other well supported format) would close a lot of those gaps.

It’s really nice that Arturia, again, doesn’t require you to own the latest version to get this update, which is quite substantial. i have to say I haven’t used the Collection that much, as opposed to Pigments and their FX. Let’s see if that changes, now that there’s finally full M1 support with Komplete Kontrol.

This is reason that Arturia will at some point get my hard earned for update to next V collection. I can count on them that old plugins continue to work until I am ready for next upgrade.
