Is there any way I can suppress an incoming patch change mesagge in energyXT? (I am sending the MIDI signals from an external application to EXT, and among them are some patch change messages I would like to filter out)

Is the external midi device able to "not transmit" control change messages? Maybe you can shut it off at the source.

I haven't found a way to do that. (The source is the trial version of Koan Pro, and so far I haven't found a way to turn off control messages there.)

So what do parameters like Patch, Patch Change Bars and Patch Change Bars Range in Koan Pro actually do? Just curious...

Patch sets a patch, Patch Change Bars changes randomly between a predefined set of patches and Path Change Bars Range is the range over which the Patch Change Bars command is effective. So far I have not found a way NOT to set a patch for a given MIDI channel.
