Sad to see that the discontinued Anthology libraries are gone from Roland Cloud Manager.
I postponed downloading them for way too long assuming they won't be deleted that soon.

One thing I don't think you can do in the app is view the lifetime keys inside the app.FotoxBr wrote: Mon Mar 13, 2023 1:56 pm Cannot find the lifetime key information in this new RC interface.
If you go to the app menu far right
Settings --> Manage your Roland account
it then opens a browser window and after you login you can see your lifetime keys in the Account Detail screen
If you do just want to see which instruments you own then you can choose the
Software Instruments --> My Library
option in the app menu and click the slider to "Show Only Owned/Free". Taken years for them to make that simple option, but it transforms the Cloud Manager into a place you can quickly view your instruments and if they need updates.

I wish mine didn't default to "Show only owned / free" because it took me sometime to find out were the new pro account selector was, that you can only select a new one when it's set to "All". Everytime I go into the manager it's gone back to "Show only owned / free"WatchTheGuitar wrote: Mon Mar 13, 2023 2:22 pm

I am experiencing that dreadful problem with instruments showing as not installed, and when I click Install, they install (the same version already installed) I get a message telling that the instrument is installed, and still it shows as NOT INSTALLED (the Install link remains). This is after updating RCM to version 3.0.
Seriously, didn't Roland have enough time to get this thing right once and for all? What's worse, I experience this problem in my home studio computer (runnign Windows 10) but in my studio computer(also running Windows 10) everything looks fine. The only difference is that, in my studio system I have my VST2 plug-ins in Program Files\Vstplugins, while in my home studio computer I have them in Program Files\Common Files\VST2. I suspect that's where resides the problem, since I had experience problems in the past with Roland plug-ins in other location that's not Program Files\VstPlugIns. Which shouldn't be problem IF ROLAND HAD A SETTING PREFERENCE WHER TO DEFINE OUR OWN VST2 LOCATION.

BTW, I have another question (this one maybe for Brian, if he's around somewhere): If I get a Jupiter-X and buy a model extension for it, will the license cover also the RCM software, or just the Jupiter-X version?
Also, after I installed the Jupiter-X editor, I saw that only the JD-800 and the Vocal models are vailable for sale. Does htis mean that the JX-8P model is already included now?

I just noticed it has the "Juno-106: The Original 128 presets" in my list of Owned/Free, but I don't have the Juno-106 plugin.
Also it says "Included with all Roland Cloud membership levels". But the free account (which I have) would have no use for those presets as it doesn't have access to the plugin, unless you're in the first 30 days of using it, and you get access to everything during that time.

It's been a POS piece of software since day one. Years later, it's changed many times, but never for the better. I still regularly load a 'lifetime key' plugin only to be 1. forced to enter my email and password and 2. told the plugin is not authorized to my account -- even when I have RC software open, displaying that plugin and listing it as having an authorized lifetime key.fmr wrote: Tue Mar 14, 2023 7:49 pm I am experienced that dreadful problem with instruments showing as not installed, and when I click Install, they install (the same version already installed) I get a message telling that the instrument is installed, and still it shows as NOT INSTALLED (the Install link remains). I have to do a full system restart to get it working again, every time this happens, and it happens all the f---- time.
Honestly, it's just not worth it. And at this point, it's on us for still even bothering to try. How many times do we have to get slapped in the face before we decide to just walk away for good....

Well, I filed a support ticket, and their answer was simply unbelievable: "Yes, the plugins get installed in the system plugin folders. If you move them, Cloud Manager thinks they aren't there. We advise leaving them in the system folders."mholloway wrote: Wed Mar 15, 2023 4:02 amIt's been a POS piece of software since day one. Years later, it's changed many times, but never for the better. How many times do we need to tell these guys THERE ISN'T A SYSTEM PLUGIN FOLDER FOR VST2.
